Chapter 346
They weren’t even divorced yet and she was already looking for the next guy? Seriously?
Lance didn’t waste a second. He called his bodyguards right away. “Don’t give me any more updates about her. If you do, I’m docking your pay.” Without waiting for a response, he ended the call, his face set in a cold,
hard line.
The two bodyguards just stared at each other, completely confused.
What was going on? Wasn’t Lance the one who told them to keep tabs on Nathalie in the first place? Why the sudden switch?
One of them finally spoke up. “Should we check with Aaron?”
The other nodded. “Yeah, good idea.”
A minute later, they had Aaron on the line. He let out a long sigh. “Just keep following her and keep taking photos. Ignore what Lance said. He ust never means what he says.”
They hesitated. “What about our paycheck?”
‘I’ll talk to accounting. Don’t worry about it,” Aaron said.
That was all they needed to hear. Instantly, the anxiety faded and they got
back to work.
At The Observatory, Nathalie climbed out of the car, cheeks flushed and head spinning. The alcohol had really hit her during the ride and now she could barely walk straight.
“Freddy, I really need to go home,” she said, waving a little. “Thanks for dinner. I’ll see you around.”
Freddy noticed the way she swayed and rushed over to steady her. “Let

me take you home. I’d feel better if I made sure you got there safely.”
“I’m fine,” Nathalie waved him off, trying to sound confident even as she wobbled. “Seriously, I got this.”
But Freddy wouldn’t back down. “At least let me walk you to the elevator, okay? Please?”
He gently but firmly guided her toward the building entrance.
Just then, someone called out.
‘Nathalie!”
Bagot appeared, closing the distance between them in a few quick strides. He brushed Freddy aside and held Nathalie up himself. “How much have you had to drink? Come on, let me take you home.”
Nathalie squinted up at him, confusion all over her face. “Who are you?”
Bagot tried not to laugh. “It’s me, Bagot. We’ve known each other for years. Don’t tell me you forgot?”
‘Oh… right. Lance’s lackey.” Nathalie jabbed a finger toward him.
Bagot’s lips twitched. “Yeah, yeah, I’m Lance’s loyal sidekick, whatever. You’re in no condition to be outside alone. Let’s get you home.”
He shot Freddy a look. “Don’t worry about her now, Freddy. I’ll handle it.”
Freddy’s easygoing smile faded. He looked to Nathalie. “Do you actually <now this guy, Nathalie?”
