Chapter 442
The Adams Estate
Little Jasper sat in the living room, constantly glancing toward the front door. When the person he was hoping for didn’t appear, he lowered his head and went back to playing with his toys.
A maid stood nearby to keep an eye on him, and the butler hovered a short distance away, The entire Adams family villa felt unusually quiet.
Just then, the sound of a car engine drifted through the air. Jasper’s eyes lit up instantly. He tossed his toys aside, scrambled to his feet, and ran toward the door.
The car pulled up to the entrance of the villa. The door opened, and the moment he saw Lance, he cheered excitedly, “Uncle Lance!”
Then, he noticed a woman stepping out of the passenger side. Without even getting a good look, he yelled, “Mommy!”
“It’s your aunt,” Lance corrected him, his tone indifferent.
Jasper froze. He blinked his large, obsidian eyes, his excitement dimming into a quiet politeness. “Auntie.”
Nathalie got out of the car and looked at the little boy standing in the doorway. He was a striking child. She had seen pictures of Jackson, and Jasper bore a strong resemblance to him.
But she just couldn’t bring herself to like him.
He was Felice’s son.

Lance, why haven’t you been home in so many days? I missed you.”
Since starting kindergarten, Jasper had become much more talkative. Right now, his eyes were full of longing as he hugged Lance’s leg.
Lance bent down and scooped the boy up. “Have you been doing your homework?”
Jasper nodded earnestly. “Yes! Miss Strawberry even praised me!”
“Good.” Lance nodded. “Keep up the good work.”
He pulled out his phone, snapped a picture of Jasper, and sent it directly to a specific number.
It was the number Felice used to have. He wasn’t sure if she was still using it, but if she was, she would receive the message and see Jasper.
Jasper watched curiously. “Uncle Lance, what are you doing?”
“Taking a picture of you for the memories,” Lance replied smoothly.
Jasper only half-understood, but after a moment, he said, “Then let me take a picture of you and Auntie! For the memories.”
Hearing that, Lance raised an eyebrow, then handed the phone over. “Make sure we look good.”
“Uh-huh!”
Jasper slid out of his arms, held the phone with both tiny hands, and pointed it at them.
Seeing this, Nathalie frowned. “What is this about?”
Lance sat down beside her, his voice low. “The kid just wants to take a picture of us.”
He turned his head to look at her, his deep gaze focused. “You’re not going to hold a grudge against a child, are you?”
Nathalie gave him a flat look. “Is this the kid’s idea, or yours?”
