Chapter 449

“I had someone keep an eye on Fabian. After you parted ways with him yesterday, he went straight home. But in the middle of the night, he drove out to an old residential building in the suburbs. Once he left, my people scoped out the place. We confirmed that Felice is hiding there.”

Chapter 449

Even though the immediate threats from overseas had died down, Keeping her in his line of sight was the only way he could breathe easily.

Nathalie asked Nicol and Karan to stay behind and look after her grandmother, then got into Lance’s car.

As they sped through the city, Nathalie’s expression was unnervingly calm. She turned to Lance. “Do you have any poison?”

Lance raised an eyebrow. “What are you planning?”

“Giving them a taste of their own medicine,” Nathalie replied coldly.

Daniel and Camilla had ruthlessly poisoned her grandmother just to protect Felice. If she didn’t do something to get even, the rage inside her would never settle.

They cared so deeply for Felice. Surely, they’d happily trade the antidote for her safety, right?

“I don’t carry poison on me,” Lance replied steadily. “I could have some brought over, but we might not have the time. We need to end this quickly.”

A flash of disappointment crossed Nathalie’s eyes, but she didn’t push it.

It took almost an hour to reach the run-down apartment complex. Aaron was already in position. He approached Lance and lowered his voice. “Boss, we’ve got men covering the front, back, and sides of Unit 3. She’s not getting out.”

“Good. Let’s head up.”

Lance grabbed Nathalie’s hand.

Aaron led the way. Inside the stairwell, one of their men stood smoking, dressed like an ordinary resident. The moment he spotted Lance, he dropped the act.

Aaron gave him a quick nod, and they continued up the stairs.
