Chapter 450
Nathalie stared at her coldly. “Why didn’t you teave the country?”
“Why should I leave?!” Felice’s eyes were bloodshot. “I didn’t do anything wrong! Why am I the one paying the price for everything?!”
Nathalie frowned in confusion. “But what exactly are you accomplishing by staying?”
Felice glared at her with pure, unadulterated hatred. Her lips parted, but no words came out.
“Let’s move,” Lance ordered.
Felice’s head snapped toward him. “You ungrateful bastard! I saved your life back then, and this is how you repay me? You’re going to burn in hell!”
Lance looked at her with nothing but freezing disgust. Ignoring her completely, he turned and walked away.
“Lance!”
Realizing she was entirely invisible to him, Felice screamed in fury, but her hysterical cries changed absolutely nothing.
Once in the car, Nathalie let out a slow, shaky breath.
They had her. Her grandmother was going to be saved.
But the relief lasted for barely a second before a heavy, suffocating weight

window.
Lance studied her expression. “What’s on your mind?”
“Nothing,” she lied.
Lance knew she was lying. Her face was a tangled mess of emotions, she simply didn’t want to let him in.
He lowered his gaze, masking his own thoughts..
The cars sped back toward the city center. Felice had been shoved into the vehicle trailing right behind them.
They were almost at the hospital when Lance’s phone suddenly rang.
He pulled it out and saw an unknown number on the screen.
“Hello? Who is this?”
“Wahhh… Uncle Lance, save me…”
Jasper’s terrified, sobbing voice pierced through the speaker.
Lance’s expression darkened instantly, a terrifying chill sweeping through his eyes. “Who are you?”
“Do you want your nephew to live? Then bring Nathalie and Felice to me.” The voice on the other end was electronically distorted, impossible to tell if it was male or female. The caller dropped an address and immediately
hung up.
The color completely drained from Lance’s face. He quickly dialed the nanny’s number, but it went straight to voicemail.
He looked at the driver. “Head to the abandoned chemical plant in the South District.”
“Yes, Boss.”
Nathalie whipped her head toward him. “Why are we going there?”
ance met her gaze, his eyes heavy with conflict. “Jasper has been taken.”
Nathalie froze, her pupils contracting sharply.
Kidnapped? Now? Of all times?
Her voice was raw and cracked when she finally spoke. “Then you go. I’ll take Felice to the hospital.”
Lance grabbed her hand tight. “They demanded both you and Felice.”
He took a slow breath. “Nathalie, we get Jasper out, and then we go straight to the hospital.”
Nathalie’s lips trembled violently. “But what about my grandmother?”
The air inside the car instantly turned suffocating.
On one side, Nathalie’s most precious family member. On the other, the only living piece of Lance’s late brother. Lance’s expression grew unbearably tense.
After a long silence, he spoke in a low, gravelly voice. “I will protect both of you.”
‘But they planned this,” Nathalie argued, her voice cracking. “They even knew you tracked down Felice…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Fabian’s face flashed in her mind.
And along with it, every strange thing he had done the night before.
