The Unwavering Heart That Broke (Nathalie and Lance) novel Chapter 461

Chapter 461

Chapter 461

Winnie grasped her hand firmly. “Don’t lose heart until the very end! Think about it-Galen was already married, yet I still made him obsess over me. After your grandfather died, he even came looking for me, promising to take care of me for the rest of my life. If it weren’t for that sudden car accident, I wouldn’t be in such a desperate state now.”

Thinking of the past, a smug look appeared in Winnie’s eyes. So what if Adelaide came from a prominent family? Her husband still didn’t love her. He was easily lured away.

So, she would never give up until the final moment.

Felice looked at Winnie, her eyes flickering. “Grandma, how can I possibly

win now?”

‘Your biggest advantage is your son. He’s the sole heir to the Adams family. As long as you keep a low profile and play the victim, you’ll eventually make your way back to him. A child always favors his mother. Once your son takes over, getting your revenge will be a breeze,” Winnie

advised.

Felice’s lost expression slowly hardened into resolve. Her grandmother was right. She had lost her adoptive parents; the only thing she had left to cling to was her son. Jasper was her flesh and blood, a bond that could never be severed. She had to find a way to see him, to make him cry and beg for her to stay.

Suddenly remembering the poison they had used on Adelaide, she asked, ‘Grandma, what exactly did you give Adelaide?”

Winnie looked at her, immediately catching on to her train of thought, and chuckled. “Felice, you really have grown up. You know how to plan for yourself now. A contact of mine developed that toxin. I’ll take you to see her.”

“Okay.”

Chapter 461

Nathalie and Lance returned to the hospital where her grandmother was staying. They first gave a tiny sample of the antidote to the doctors for testing. Once it was cleared, they administered it to the old woman.

An hour later, her grandmother woke up.

‘Grandma!” Nathalie grasped her hand, overwhelmed with emotion. “How are you feeling?”

The old woman’s mind was still a bit cloudy. She stared blankly, taking a ong moment to process her surroundings before finally speaking.

‘Nathalie…”

‘It’s me. I’m right here.” Nathalie fought back a lump in her throat, holding her grandmother’s hand tightly. “You’re safe now.”

Her grandmother closed her eyes, as if recalling the events before she ost consciousness. She let out a heavy sigh, the lines on her face seeming to deepen. “I made you worry,” she said, her voice raspy.

‘Don’t be silly, Grandma. Taking care of you is what I’m supposed to do. Don’t worry about anything else right now. Just focus on getting your strength back, and then we can go wherever you want to go,” Nathalie said, her voice choked with emotion as tears shimmered in her eyes.
