The Unwavering Heart That Broke (Nathalie and Lance) novel Chapter 462

Chapter 462

Nathalie nodded. “She took the antidote and woke up a bit ago. She was exhausted, so she went back to sleep.”

Her gaze shifted to the little boy resting on Lance’s shoulder. “How is he doing?”

“He’s still shaken up and needs plenty of rest. Once he recovers a bit, we’ll get him into therapy,” Lance replied.

“Yeah,” Nathalie agreed softly.

Bagot couldn’t hold back anymore. “Did I look like a total badass today or what? I think I completely crushed it! When Lance gave me this

assignment, I swore I’d nail it, but my performance was off the charts.” He beamed, completely lost in his own hype.

Nathalie offered a weary smile. “We really owe you for today.”

Bagot waved it off. “Anyone would have done the same. The main thing is that everyone is safe.” He paused. “I/saw Felice earlier. Where did she run off to?”

“I don’t know,” Nathalie said.

Remembering the bad blood between Nathalie and Felice, Bagot wisely dropped the subject. He pulled out his phone and started scrolling through his feed. Suddenly, he slapped his thigh. “Holy shit! Daniel just released a public statement. He’s officially cutting ties with his adopted daughter, Felice. She’s been stripped of the Blair last name!”

He looked up at them, wide-eyed. “What the hell is going on?”

Nathalie raised an eyebrow, a flicker of surprise crossing her clear eyes. She hadn’t expected Daniel to move so fast. It was ruthless, really. The moment he realized Felice had ulterior motives, he severed the relationship without a second thought, completely ignoring whatever guilt he supposedly harbored toward Jeniffer and Nash. truly were the most selfish.

Lance spoke up. “I’m going to take Jasper back home first. I’ll come by to keep you company later.”

Nathalie shook her head. “It’s been a rough day. You should stay with him. I’m perfectly safe here.” With Lawrence detained and Fabian arrested, the immediate threats had been neutralized.

‘I’ll be back later,” Lance insisted before turning and leaving with Jasper.

Nathalie watched him go, speechless.

Bagot stood up as well. “Guess I’ll head out too. I…”

Before he could finish, Damaris strode into the room, carrying a bag of Fruit and pastries.

‘Nathalie, I came to check on your grandmother.”

Bagot immediately sat back down. “You know, I just realized my schedule s completely clear. I’ll hang out with you for a bit, Nathalie.”

Nathalie looked at him, thoroughly confused.

Damaris furrowed her brows the moment she saw him. Ignoring him completely, she turned to Nathalie. “How is she doing?”

‘She had the antidote. It looks like she’s doing much better now,” Nathalie

said.

Damaris let out a long sigh of relief. “Thank God. I’ve been a nervous wreck these past few days, couldn’t even sleep.”
