Chapter 466
The doctor quickly left, and the hospital room fell silent once more. The old woman sat motionless on the bed, the harsh overhead lights casting shadows that made her look even more frail.
Swallowing the massive lump in her throat, Nathalie walked over. “Grandma, didn’t you want to rest? Let’s get you lying down.”
During the detox phase, an elderly patient’s immune system was incredibly weak; sleep was essential.
The old woman stared blankly for several seconds before nodding. “Oh, right. I’m tired. I need to sleep.”
Nathalie gently helped her lie down and tucked the blankets around her. Watching her grandmother close her eyes, the sheer grief and fury inside Nathalie became almost impossible to contain.
She turned and walked out of the room, with Lance following close behind.
Out in the corridor, she took a deep breath and looked up at him. “I want the Blair Group utterly destroyed.”
Lance pulled her into a secure embrace. “Done.”
Nathalie stiffened slightly but didn’t pull away.
He gently turned her so her face was pressed against his chest, his large hand warmly cradling the back of her head. “If you need to cry, just cry,” he murmured.
Nathalie’s hands curled into tight fists. She had been holding it together perfectly fine! But the moment he said those words, the dam broke. Tears spilled over like shattered beads. She bit down hard on her lower lip, but tiny, broken sobs managed to escape despite her best efforts. The sound was utterly heartbreaking.

Lance was extremely reluctant to let her go. If it were up to him, he would have held her forever.
But he released her, and she immediately wiped her face. “I’m staying here tonight to be with my grandmother. You should head back.”
Her voice was thick with emotion, the corners of her eyes rimmed with red, yet her gaze was startlingly clear, washed clean by her tears,
Lance looked down at his ruined shirt and raised an eyebrow. “You completely wrecked my shirt. Don’t you think you should take responsibility for that?”
Nathalie stared at him in disbelief. “Are you serious?”
“You have to wash it for me.” He doubled down on the ridiculous demand, grabbing her hand. “Wash it tonight. I need to wear this exact shirt tomorrow.”
Nathalie furrowed her brow. “Lance, I’m staying here to watch over my grandmother!”
“But I need this shirt tomorrow,” he stated calmly. “So you need to come back and wash it tonight.”
“You…”
He was being absolutely shameless! They had a mansion full of staff-literally anyone could wash it for him. Or he could just throw it in the damn washing machine himself! He was doing this purely to annoy her.
Nathalie was furious, but remembering that she still needed his backing,
