Chapter 483

Chapter 483

Lance stepped out of the bathroom just as a ringtone echoed from his phone, which had been tossed onto the floor.

He walked over and picked up. It was a call from The Adams Estate.

“Hello?”

The housekeeper’s tone was incredibly respectful. “Sir, Jasper says he misses you and wants you to join him for dinner.”

Lance checked the time. “Alright, I’ll head over now.”

He changed his clothes, headed downstairs, and walked straight out of Lumina Grand.

Seeing this, Sophia turned to Nathalie. “Nathalie, is Mr. Adams not staying for dinner?”

Nathalie didn’t even lift her eyes. “He probably has something to do. We don’t need to wait for him.”

Sophia nodded. “Okay.”

She went to help Leda to the dining table.

Leda’s eyes were slightly vacant, but after a few seconds, she regained

her focus.

Noticing the unusual, flush color on Nathalie’s cheeks, Leda suddenly smiled and asked, “Nathalie, are you two not getting a divorce anymore?” Nathalie froze, then shook her head. “We are. Why do you ask?”

Leda chuckled. “But the way you two are acting right now, it’s like you’re newlyweds. You don’t act like people getting a divorce.”

Nathalie finally realized what her grandmother was hinting at. She silently cursed Lance for being an absolute animal, but forced a calm

expression. “It’s just an act, Grandma. Don’t overthink it.”

Leda paused for a moment, then nodded. “Alright, I won’t overthink it. I really can’t understand what you young people are thinking these days.” Feeling a bit awkward, Nathalie chose to stay quiet.

Sophia watched her quietly, her sharp eyes catching a glimpse of a faint red mark barely hidden beneath Nathalie’s collar.

Was that… a hickey?

So, when they went to their room this afternoon, had they been doing that the entire time?

Sophia’s face flushed, but a heavy wave of sadness washed over her. She lowered her eyes, trying her best to hide her turbulent emotions.

Lance drove back to The Adams Estate. Security guards were stationed at the villa’s entrance. Seeing him arrive, one of them hurried over.

“Boss, someone tried to get close to the property again this afternoon, but the guy ran off too fast. I didn’t catch him.” The guard was trembling, clearly terrified of Lance’s temper.

Lance replied coldly, “Install a few more cameras. Tell the community to upgrade their security system. Every vehicle entering and exiting must be logged, and non-residents must be strictly registered.”

“Yes, sir,” the guard replied.

“Uncle Lance.”

Jasper’s eyes lit up the moment he saw him, but he didn’t run over. Instead, he stood there politely.

Lance walked over, reached out, and ruffled the boy’s hair. “What did you want to tell me?”

Jasper held up a sketchbook. “I drew a picture today. I wanted to show you.”
