The bodyguard assigned to watch Winnie sent Lance a message, reporting that she had been spending a lot of time with a middle-aged woman.

The woman lived out in the nearby countryside, and her small yard was filled with all sorts of bizarre plants.

Lance's gaze darkened significantly. He immediately ordered Aaron, "Take a team out there. Bring her to me."

"Understood."

Aaron nodded and turned to leave.

The middle-aged woman's name was Lorelei Roth. By the time she was brought in, she was trembling from head to toe, looking exceptionally terrified and out of her element.

Aaron stepped forward. "Boss, we've already interrogated her. She did indeed formulate the poison, but as for the specific toxin Felice has, there is currently no antidote."

Lance's expression instantly turned glacial. "Why is there no antidote?"

Lorelei stammered, "That... that was my newest creation. I haven't had the chance to develop the cure for it yet."

As soon as the words left her mouth, the air pressure in the room plummeted. Lorelei shuddered in fear and quickly added, "I... I can make one as fast as possible! But you have to pay me!"

Lance stared at her with cold indifference. "How much do you want?"

Lorelei's eyes darted around the room before she declared, "Five hundred thousand dollars! If you don't agree, I absolutely won't make the cure for you. The worst you can do is send me to jail! I'm all alone in this world anyway, I'm not scared of anything!"

Lance asked coldly, "How long will it take to develop?"

Lorelei let out a sly chuckle. "Does that mean we have a deal?"

Aaron scoffed sharply. "Spit it out! How long?"

Startled by the outburst, Lorelei dropped the grinning act and shrank back. "At least ten days to a couple of weeks."

Lance gave the order. "Keep an eye on her. Make sure she doesn't run."
