The Unwavering Heart That Broke (Nathalie and Lance) novel Chapter 566

Lance was speechless.

She had shut him down with a single sentence.

Taking in her soft, delicate features, his breathing turned heavy. Suddenly, he closed the gap and kissed her fiercely.

"Mmph!"

Caught completely off guard by the ambush, Nathalie's eyes widened. She shoved at his chest, but he simply locked a grip around her wrists and deepened the kiss.

It was as if he were venting all his pent-up frustration, aggressively ravaging her mouth and claiming every inch of her.

Feeling utterly suffocated, Nathalie bit down hard. The sharp, metallic taste of blood instantly bloomed between them.

The iron tang was anything but pleasant, snapping the heavy, heated tension.

Shoving him away with all her strength, Nathalie glared at him, her chest heaving. "Are you out of your mind?"

Lance ducked his head slightly. His breath was ragged and scorching, his voice incredibly rough. "I'm unhappy."

Nathalie stared at him like he was a total lunatic. "What are you even talking about?"

Lance looked up, locking eyes with her. "Seeing you stand next to another man makes me unhappy. Knowing the two of you share secrets makes me even more unhappy."

Nathalie scoffed.

She was so furious she almost laughed.

"Have you forgotten your place? We are pending divorce. Whatever I do has nothing to do with you. And just so we're clear, I don't care what you do either. You—"

"Keep talking like that, and I'll kiss you again."

Lance's dark eyes bore into hers, his strikingly handsome face devoid of any emotion.

Nathalie instantly snapped her mouth shut. She glared at him, a mix of speechlessness and outrage bubbling in her chest. "You..."

Before she could finish, Lance leaned in again, effectively terrifying her into complete silence.

Shameless!

Bagot was brimming with absolute confidence.

He was convinced that this time, he would finally wipe the floor with Nicol!

Lance immediately tracked Nathalie down. "Want to watch a sparring match?"

Nathalie was tying her hair up, planning to squeeze in a bit more shooting practice. She shot him a curious look. "Who's fighting?"

"Bagot and Nicol."

Nathalie thought about it for a second and nodded. "Sure."

It was a good opportunity to see if she could pick up any practical, easy-to-use combat moves.

The two had barely walked into the house before they headed right back out.

Watching the entire exchange, Sophia couldn't help but mutter, "I really don't think Nathalie and Mr. Adams are going to get a divorce."

Adelaide pulled her gaze away from the door and offered a serene smile. "Who knows."
