Gasping for air, Bagot sat on the mat, his face looking rather grim.
Nathalie suddenly turned to Lance. "If you fought him, who would win?"
Lance raised an eyebrow. "Want to find out?"
The corner of his mouth curved into a smirk, his eyes dancing with dark amusement.
"Watching comes with a fee."
Nathalie deadpanned and looked away. "Never mind."
Lance chuckled softly.
Bagot piped up from the floor. "Nathalie, you clearly don't know what the boss is capable of. Nicol couldn't lay a finger on him."
Nathalie's eyes widened slightly. She looked at Nicol, only to see him cough awkwardly and say nothing.
Now she was genuinely curious.
Really?
Nicol couldn't beat Lance?
She had seen Lance's ruthless streak when he snapped, but Nicol was built like a tank.
She shifted her gaze back to the man beside her. He had already shrugged off his jacket and was casually unfastening his cuffs.
Her eyes sparkled with anticipation.
Lance stood up. "Let's go. Time to stretch my legs."
Nicol stared at him.
He really, really didn't want to do this.
But catching the eager look on Nathalie's face, he realized he didn't exactly have a choice.
Fine.
