The Unwavering Heart That Broke (Nathalie and Lance) novel Chapter 587

"No, don't..."

Damaris pushed against him, instinctively recoiling. "You already had your way with me once today. I need to rest."

But Lawrence simply held her tighter, peppering kisses along her jawline. "But baby, I'm going crazy. Feel me. I'm burning up for you. What if I lose my mind from holding back? Then who's going to make you scream?"

Damaris was utterly speechless.

Despicable!

Absolutely shameless!

She didn't want any part of his twisted brand of pleasure!

He grabbed her hand, threading his fingers tightly through hers until their palms were locked.

Their breathing mingled in the heavy silence as he called her 'baby' over and over again, as if hoping his obsessive mantra could melt the ice around her heart.

A long time later, Lawrence finally wrapped an arm around her and guided her out of the vast closet.

"My baby, you look completely stunning in that dress. Why don't you wear one every single day?"

He continued making his demands as they walked.

Damaris's face was flushed, her gaze brimming with resistance, yet an undeniable undercurrent of terror flickered in her eyes.

"It's uncomfortable."

"But you look so good in it."

Lawrence was relentless, nuzzling her neck as he wheedled. "Just wear it. You look so beautiful. The most gorgeous girl I've ever laid eyes on."

Damaris didn't have the strength to fight him on it.

He practically carried her into the grand dining room, settling her at a long table laden with all her favorite dishes.

Damaris instantly scrambled off his lap and took the seat next to him, her rigid posture relaxing ever so slightly.

The sudden emptiness in his arms irritated Lawrence. He wanted to hold her every second of the day, to suffocate her with his presence.

That was how romance worked, wasn't it? Two people completely inseparable.

"Baby, teach me how to properly use these utensils?" Lawrence blinked his enchanting blue eyes. He had the face of an angel, looking entirely harmless. No one could ever guess that beneath that breathtaking exterior lurked the black heart of a demon.

"There's nothing to teach. You just have to practice holding them correctly. You'll get the hang of it eventually," Damaris replied coldly.

"No, no, I want you to teach me. Come on, baby, I'm a fast learner. If you teach me, I'll figure it out in seconds." Lawrence began to pout, aggressively leaning into her personal space and acting like a spoiled child.

Damaris was exasperated.

Was he really not going to let her eat in peace?
