The restaurant manager rushed over, his face stern as he tried to usher them out.
Slap!
The man struck Sophia hard across the face, spitting curses. "You little bitch, hurry up and tell me who your sugar daddy is! Is he here? The rich guy you hooked up with is useless. You're getting beaten up like this, and he hasn't even shown his face. He obviously doesn't give a damn about you!"
He yanked Sophia by the collar, pointing a finger directly in her face. "Look at you, what awful taste. Mr. Sun was a great catch. I set that up for you! You could have been living the high life, but you had to be stubborn, didn't you?"
Sophia's cheek burned from the strike, and tears spilled down her face. She glared at him with pure hatred. "You animal! You have the nerve to say that? I'm your own sister, and you're trying to sell me! Why didn't you just drop dead out there?!"
"You dare curse at me? You've got some nerve!" The man's face twisted in rage as he raised his hand to strike her again.
Before his hand could connect, a brutal kick slammed into the back of his knee. He lost his balance and crashed heavily to the floor.
Sophia looked up in shock and saw Nathalie striding over. Nathalie grabbed her wrist. "Let's go."
"Nathalie..."
Sophia looked at her savior through tear-blurred eyes, too moved to form a coherent sentence.
Nathalie pulled Sophia toward the exit.
"Stop right there!"
Seeing them leave, the man scrambled to his feet, grimacing in pain as he lunged forward, reaching out to grab Nathalie's shoulder.
In the next second, his wrist was caught in a vice grip.
But the figures in the distance only walked faster, not showing the slightest intention of stopping.
Leo gritted his teeth, a dark, vindictive gleam flashing in his eyes.
"Tsk. She didn't answer. You lied," Nicol said mockingly. "I hate liars. How should I punish you? Should I just cut out your tongue?"
While speaking, Nicol dragged Leo toward a secluded alleyway.
Leo struggled frantically. "No... don't! Let me go! I really am her brother! She's just an ungrateful bitch! It's her fault she won't acknowledge me..."
Nicol didn't care to listen to another word. He tossed Leo into the alley and, without further conversation, unleashed a flurry of calculated strikes.
Nicol was a professional. He knew exactly how to inflict maximum agony without hitting any vital organs or leaving severe external wounds. Leo would be in excruciating pain for the next two weeks, but outwardly, he would look perfectly fine.
