Chapter 661
Chapter 661
“Mrs. Gable, I wouldn’t mistake her. This person looks so much like the one who killed my parents. They must be related!”
Elara Lane walked up to Nathalie, grabbed her chin, and scrutinized her features, hatred pooling in her eyes.
“My parents told me not to look for them, to just stay here for the rest of my life, saying I couldn’t afford to provoke those people and that I’d die too. I didn’t want to let them down, so I came back, but they actually tracked me down here!”
Elara’s eyes rimmed with red. “Since they came, don’t blame me for being ruthless!”
She released Nathalie’s face, staring down at her with deep-seated hatred.
Mrs. Gable looked worried and uneasy. “Maybe… we should double-check? What if we made a mistake and hurt an innocent person?”
Elara replied, “Mrs. Gable, help me move them to the basement. I’ll interrogate them. If I’m wrong, I’ll apologize and make amends, but if I’m right, they will pay for my parents’ lives!”
Mrs. Gable nodded.
Together, they dragged them to the basement.
The living room was quickly tidied up, returning to its cozy state.
When Nathalie woke up again, she felt entirely bound. She looked down and saw she was tied securely to a chair.
The surroundings were no longer the warm living room but a chilly space. The incandescent bulb overhead cast a stark, pale light.
Not far away, Nicol and Bagot were tied back-to-back, still unconscious.
Nathalie tried to call for help, but as she opened her mouth, the grim reality hit her-she couldn’t speak.
Her face paled even further.
At a time like this, she couldn’t even cry out for rescue.
A flash of sorrow crossed her eyes.
She never expected Sylvie Winter’s people to arrive so fast, striking completely out of the blue
Was there no escaping death this time?
“You woke up fast.”
A voice came from the side.
Nathalie turned her head and saw a young woman standing at the door. She wore a simple t-shirt and shorts, her hair in twin braids, but her eyes were glaring at her with pure venom.

Chapter 661
Nathalie opened her mouth, letting out a horrific, raspy sound.
“Huh? You’re mute?”
Elara pushed the door open and stepped inside, her expression shifting to twisted excitement as she looked at Nathalie.
Nathalie felt helpless. Her hands and feet were bound; she couldn’t communicate at all.
Elara circled her twice, rubbing her chin. “I’ll ask questions, and you just nod or shake your head. If your answers satisfy me, I’ll let you go.”
Nathalie nodded.
Elara stood in front of her, staring intently. “Do you know Julian Winter?”
Nathalie shook her head with a look of pure confusion.
Who was that?
