Chapter 665

Her expression was completely serious. “I can’t guarantee a full recovery because you came a bit late. If you had found me the day you were poisoned, I might have been able to cure you completely.”

Nathalie’s fingers curled slightly. She typed on her phone, and the electronic voice sounded out: “Let’s start the treatment. It would be best if I can recover, but if not, we will figure it out.”

Elara nodded. “I’ll do acupuncture first, followed by a herbal regimen to regulate your system.

She got up to fetch her acupuncture kit, bringing out a fully equipped set of tools.

Bagot watched from the side, his hands clenched into fists. His voice was tight as he asked, “What if his eyes were chemically burned?”

Elara replied, “I need to evaluate his condition in person to make a judgment.”

Bagot quickly followed up, “Then can you come back with us? He has other injuries and can’t take a flight here.”

Elara paused, her expression shifting. “I’ll have to think about it.”

Bagot wanted to say more, but Nicol stopped him.

Nicol said, “Take your time thinking. Treat her first and let’s see how the results turn out.”

“Okay.”

Nathalie lowered her gaze slightly. Sitting on the sofa, she pressed her lips together.

Even her own recovery wasn’t guaranteed, let alone Lance’s.

She could manage living without a voice.

But how was he supposed to navigate life without his sight?

The realization struck her hard, sending a sharp pang through her chest that made her frown

“Come to the room with me,” Elara said once she was ready.

Nathalie closed her eyes, forcing down her surging emotions, and followed Elara into a separate

room.

There was a small examination bed inside. Elara gestured for her to lie down.

Once Nathalie was settled, Elara pulled the curtain shut and called out, “No men allowed. You two wait outside. I’m not going to hurt her.”

Nicol and Bagot had intended to follow them in, but stopped in their tracks at her words. Nathalie removed her top, and Elara began inserting needles into specific pressure points

It hardly hurt at all. Soon, her chest and neck were covered in silver needles

Elara sat nearby, staring intently at Nathalie’s face. She couldn’t help but say, “You really do look so much like Julian Winter. Just seeing your face makes me think of him, and it makes me want to rip him to shreds.”

Nathalie’s eyelashes fluttered. A sudden chill of fear ran through her.

She really hoped Elara wouldn’t rip her to shreds in a fit of rage!

However, hearing those words confirmed her suspicion that she might actually be the biological daughter of the Winter family.

That would explain why Sylvie had tried to kill her time and time again.

She simply closed her eyes, refusing to dwell on it for now.
