Chapter 691
Chapter 691
She was willing to make demands now. Did that mean she was finally starting to pay attention to him?
Did this mean they were one step closer to her falling in love with him?
Thinking this, Lawrence was thrilled. He set down his wine glass, his blue eyes swirling with excitement. Looking at her, he asked, “My baby, what else do you want?”
Damaris’s beautiful brows knitted together, shooting him a weird look. “Are you out of your mind?”
Didn’t this guy find this annoying? Why did he look so eager?
Lawrence shook his head. “I’m not sick, I’m very healthy. If you don’t believe me, I can go get a full physical. Every doctor will tell you my body is in peak condition.”
Damaris was speechless.
She rolled her eyes without holding/back. “You’re too healthy. I don’t like
it.”
Lawrence blinked his blue eyes, a hint of confusion washing over his angelic, strikingly handsome face.
“I’m healthy, so I can bring you pleasure. If I were sick, how could I make you feel good?”
Damaris went silent.
She grabbed the edge of the table and, with a violent shove, flipped the
entire thing over!
Crash!
Everything on the table shattered against the hardwood floor. Broken porcelain and red wine splattered everywhere.
Chapter 691
Damaris glared at him. “I don’t like these.”
“If you don’t like them, just throw them away.” Lawrence arched an eyebrow at her outburst, then stood up and walked over. “My baby, next time you don’t like something, just give the order and I’ll have someone else do it. You could easily hurt yourself like this, and if you get hurt, my heart will break.”
Damaris looked at him like he was an alien. “You’re definitely a psycho.”
She stood up and stormed out of the dining room.
Lawrence followed her closely, matching her pace. “My baby, I really am healthy. You of all people should know that firsthand.”
Damaris covered her ears in sheer frustration. “Enough! Stop talking!”
Lawrence’s face fell into a mask of grievance. He looked at her pitifully with those ocean-blue eyes. “My baby, am I wrong? Why don’t you want to hear it? We’re the closest people in the world, it’s completely normal for us to talk like this.”
Damaris spun around and slapped him hard across the face, her eyes blazing with fury. “Do you even know what forcing someone means? I don’t like you! I despise being with you, and I am disgusted when you touch me!”
Lawrence tilted his head slightly, his tongue poking against his inner cheek. He reached up, lightly touching his own face, and then turned back to her, a chilling smile creeping onto his lips.
“But my baby, I love you so much.”
He gently took her hand, blowing on it as if the slap had hurt her more than him. “I would carve my own heart out for you.”
Damaris shuddered uncontrollably.
Psycho.
Chapter 691
Suffocating!
Despair!
She felt a crushing weight on her chest, barely able to breathe.
She squeezed her eyes shut, fighting to compose herself. She knew she couldn’t push him too far.
What if she really pissed him off and he went back on his word?
