The Unwavering Heart That Broke (Nathalie and Lance) novel Chapter 693

Chapter 693

Chapter 693

As the night wore on, Damaris desperately wished she could sew his mouth shut. His body was coiled with tension, a sheen of sweat

glistening over his skin.

Those intense blue eyes were heavy and hazed over with lust. His pants were dangerously deep and raspy as his large hands gripped her hips, constantly pouring praise over her.

“You’re doing so good, my baby. You’re amazing. I love you so fucking much!”

Listening to his heavy, ragged breathing was enough to make her ears burn.

She slapped a hand over his mouth. “You… stop talking…”

Lawrence didn’t hesitate to drag his tongue over her palm, kissing her skin hungrily while his grip on her waist tightened to a bruising hold.

Damaris had zero energy left. She collapsed against his chest, listening to the deafening, frantic hammering of his heart.

Lawrence stroked a hand down her bare back, pressing tender, affectionate kisses to her temple. “So good. My baby is the absolute best. Just let me take over now.”

In the next second, the world spun, and she was pressed flat into the

mattress.

Damaris found herself staring at the sunrise over the ocean under completely different circumstances, but she was entirely too exhausted to appreciate the view. Her head was spinning, her entire body

completely drained, yet she forced herself to stay awake for one specific

reason.

“Don’t forget what you promised me.”

Right before exhaustion pulled her under, she gripped his muscular forearm and stared him dead in the eye.

Lawrence leaned down, pressing a lingering kiss against her swollen lips. His voice was thick with the heavy, musky satisfaction of their night together. “I won’t forget.”

Only then did Damaris finally let herself pass out.

After drinking the prescribed herbal medicine for three days straight, Nathalie finally stopped coughing up blood. She tried making sounds, but her voice was still a ruined, gravelly rasp. Staring at her reflection in the mirror, her clear eyes looked incredibly desolate.

Just then, her phone buzzed. A new email notification popped up.

She unlocked her screen, and her eyes immediately flew wide open!

An anonymous sender had attached a single photograph. In the picture, Damaris was scowling at the camera, while Lawrence stood right beside her, his angelic, strikingly handsome face lit up with a massive grin.

Nathalie completely ignored him, zooming in on the image to scrutinize

Damaris.

The background looked like the deck of a luxury yacht. Damaris was wearing a sundress, and there were unmistakable hickeys scattered across her collarbone, but she didn’t look battered or bruised. Overall, she looked healthy.

After meticulously verifying every detail multiple times, Nathalie pressed the phone against her chest and let out a massive sigh of relief.

Thank god. Damaris was safe.

“Nathalie, are you still in there?”

Chapter 693

Lance’s voice echoed through the door.

Nathalie turned and unlocked the bathroom door. Lance stood in the hallway, thick white gauze wrapped around his eyes, though his complexion looked far better than before.

She quickly typed on her phone, letting the robotic female voice speak for her. “I just received an anonymous email. I think Lawrence sent it. Can you track Damaris’s location from this?”
