Chapter 711
Chapter 711
Lance stood up, facing the older woman with a serious tone. “Both Nathalie and I are injured. My eyes, her throat. She can’t speak to you right now.”
The elderly woman swayed, nearly collapsing.
Nathalie caught her just in time, her eyes turning red. She opened her mouth to speak but didn’t dare let her grandmother hear her raspy, awful
voice.
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she gripped her grandmother’s arm tightly.
Grandma looked at her, lips trembling. She reached out to touch
Nathalie’s face, then her throat, choking on a sob. “How did this happen?
What went wrong?”
She turned desperately to Lance. “Lange, tell me right now, what did you two go through?”
Lance stepped forward, blindly reaching out to help support her weight and guide her to sit down. “Please don’t panic. Nathalie and I will
recover.”
“How can I not panic?” Grandma’s voice trembled with agitation. “Did you two plan this all along? To keep me in the dark? When I called Nathalie before, she never picked up-was that when her throat got injured? You came back today but sent me away. If I hadn’t remembered I left
something behind and walked in on this, how much longer were you going to hide it from me?”
After firing off her questions, she shook violently. A wave of dizziness washed over her, threatening to pull her into unconsciousness.
Grandma, Grandma…
Nathalie rubbed her chest, trying to calm her down, while anxiously

tugging at Lance’s sleeve.
Lance immediately turned to the staff. “Go get Dr. Lane.”
“Yes, sir.”
Elara Lane hurried out, freezing for a moment when she saw the chaos in the living room.
Nathalie looked at her frantically, waving her over.
Elara noticed the elderly woman on the sofa, noting her pale complexion and erratic breathing.
“Don’t panic, I’m right here.”
Elara rushed over, pulling out her acupuncture needles and swiftly inserting one into a pressure point on Grandma’s body.
Instantly, the older woman’s breathing steadied. Her eyes welled with tears as she pulled Nathalie into a tight embrace.
“My poor Nathalie, how did you end up suffering so much?” she cried, her voice thick with grief and heartache.
She had actually been relieved earlier, thinking her nightmares were just dreams and nothing more.
