Chapter 772
Chapter 772
“Open it.”
The mocking smile froze on Lawrence’s face. His striking blue eyes darkened with murderous intent as he stared down at Bagot’s broken
form.
A nearby bodyguard punched the code into the keypad. The heavy door swung open, and Lawrence marched inside. Without a single word, he delivered a vicious kick straight into Bagot’s ribs.
“Thud!”
“Ugh…”
Bagot’s body slammed hard against the concrete wall with a sickening crack. He spat out a mouthful of blood, his face draining of whatever
color it had left.
Lawrence leaned down, grabbing him by the collar. His blue eyes burned with toxic obsession. “She will love me. She will absolutely fall for me. But you? You pathetic worm, you’re going to rot down here.”
Bagot stared back at the lunatic in front of him and actually smiled. Blood kept dripping past his lips, but his gaze was fiercely defiant.
“Keep dreaming. Damaris would never love a psycho. You lock her up, you threaten her-she’s going to hate you. Hate you enough to kill you herself.”
“You really have a death wish.” Lawrence let go, tossing him back. Watching Bagot struggle just to stay conscious, a cruel smirk twisted Lawrence’s lips. “Since you’re so pitiful, I’ll let you in on a little secret.”
Bagot squeezed his eyes shut. Every time he drew a breath, agony flared through his entire body.
“Your best buddy, Lance-the guy you followed so loyally? He’s been

playing you this whole time.” Lawrence’s smile widened into a malicious grin. “He knew exactly where I was. He always knew.”
Bagot’s eyes snapped open, a vein throbbing wildly at his temple. “You’re lying!”
Seeing the utter disbelief on Bagot’s face finally satisfied Lawrence. “I kill, I burn, I do whatever it takes-but never lie. I don’t need to. Lance and I made a deal. He helped me cover my tracks, and in return, I stopped the people coming after Nathalie. Hah! ‘Best buddies’? When it comes to the woman he loves, you ain’t worth dirt!”
Bagot’s stare went completely blank. He had never imagined things could be like this.
Lance knew from the very beginning?
From day one?
Did that mean Lance had watched his torturous struggle this whole time? Watched him suffer while standing by and doing nothing?
“That’s impossible… Lance would never do that to me,” Bagot muttered, his voice hollow.
“Hard to swallow, isn’t it?” Lawrence fed off his devastation. “He sold out your friendship. To protect his girl, he’d use anyone and anything. Is a guy like that really worth your loyalty?”
Bagot suddenly lunged forward, grabbing Lawrence by the shirt. “You’re full of it! There’s no way! You’re just trying to mess with my head!”
Lawrence hadn’t expected the sudden burst of energy, but Bagot was too badly injured to put up a real fight. Within seconds, his strength gave out, and he collapsed back onto the floor, gasping.
Lawrence glanced down at the fresh blood smeared on his pristine shirt, his brow furrowing in disgust. “You ruined my clothes.”
Then, the twisted smile returned. “But I’m in a generous mood today. I
