The Wife He Dumped, The Queen She Returned As novel Chapter 134

Preston's fingers moved quickly over the screen, ready to enter the passcode.

She hadn't closed the Visa Approval Notification. The second the phone unlocked, it would be right there.

A cold sweat broke out across Chloe's back, and she lunged for it. "Give it back!"

But her panic only made him more suspicious. He was absolutely certain she was hiding something about Quentin.

He rapidly punched in the passcode.

Seeing the error prompt, Preston's face fell. "You changed your passcode?"

For the three years they'd been married, her passcode had always been his birthday.

She had known Quentin for a matter of days, and she'd already changed her passcode?

He tried a few more times—her birthday, the day they met, their anniversary, even Eleonora's birthday. Every single one was wrong.

He had one attempt left before the phone locked him out.

With a furious scowl, Preston looked up Quentin's birthday on his own phone and typed it in.

He didn't even realize he was holding his breath, tense with anticipation.

"Incorrect Passcode."

As the error message flashed, the screen went black, fully locking him out.

Relief washed over him for some inexplicable reason. He handed the phone back to her.

"Change it back."

"You are unbelievable!" Chloe gripped her phone, glaring at him. "Do you have absolutely no concept of basic respect?"

Instead of getting angry, Preston held out his own phone to her.

"I don't keep secrets from you, Chloe."

Fuming, she stormed out of the car and slammed the door shut, marching straight toward the villa.

All she wanted right now was to grab Yuri and head back to Oceanview Heights.
