Warmth flooded Chloe's chest, and she smiled. "Thank you, Grandmother."

Suddenly remembering something, Eleonora asked, "By the way, Chloe, earlier you mentioned there was something very important you needed to tell me. What was it?"

Chloe bit her bottom lip, cementing her resolve. "Grandmother, I'm planning to go back to work."

Eleonora froze, slipping into a stunned silence.

A wave of anxiety hit Chloe. She subconsciously reached up and rubbed her muffled left ear.

"I know I might not be as good as I used to be... but I really want to try."

Before she could finish her sentence, Eleonora yanked her into a bone-crushing hug.

Her voice shook with pure emotion, her eyes rimmed with red. "That's wonderful! Oh, that's just wonderful! Chloe, I am so incredibly happy for you!"

Infected by Eleonora's radiant joy, Chloe's eyes crinkled as a genuine smile broke across her face.

"Grandmother, there's a summit next week. I'd love to invite you to come with me. Will you?"

Just then, a burst of crystal-clear laughter and chatter echoed from the main hall.

Jenna had said something that triggered a booming laugh from Percival. He praised her loudly, "Excellent! Jenna, you truly are a woman of remarkable ambition! You have the spirit of a legendary warrior!"

Jenna giggled. "Grandfather, now that I'm back, I don't ever want to leave again. I'm actually planning to join Preston's company and help out. What do you think?"
