The Wife He Dumped, The Queen She Returned As novel Chapter 47

As soon as Chloe returned home, she started packing her things.

With the summit just days away, she had to dedicate all her energy to preparation, so she could only pack a little bit each day.

She walked into the walk-in closet first.

Looking at the cabinets filled with haute couture jewelry and luxury goods, a complex mix of emotions washed over her.

Many of the items didn't even fit her.

Preston had clearly just sent someone to buy them at random.

Chloe quickly gathered her essential clothing and then pulled out her phone, opened a secondhand app, and began taking photos of all the luxury items to list them for sale.

She couldn't wear these things, but every single item had once been something she genuinely cherished.

Back then, she had been so foolish. As long as it was a gift from him, no matter what it was, she had been thrilled.

She absolutely refused to let Jenna wear these things after she left!

It was better to sell them at a discount, letting them find new owners and serve their true purpose.

By the time she finished organizing everything, it was completely dark outside.

Chloe had just moved her packed bags into the guest room when Preston returned.

He looked at the empty dining table and the deserted master bedroom. After a moment of silence, he spoke, his tone carrying a barely noticeable chill.

"Chloe, have you forgotten your place?"

Chloe ignored him.

Preston spoke again, every word dripping with sarcasm. "We still have six days before the divorce. Aren't you rushing things a little too much?"

Chloe let out a cold laugh. "Not as rushed as you, finding your next wife before the ink is even dry!"

This time, Preston didn't bother defending his relationship with Jenna. He stared at her, his voice icy.

"Chloe, there is a limit to everything. If you insist on vacating your spot for someone else, don't blame me for what happens next."
