With the eyes of the crowd glued to her, the Imposter entered the booth to prepare.
The press was just about to turn back when they spotted Quentin standing nearby. Instantly, they swarmed him, thrusting microphones and hoisting cameras into his face.
"Mr. Shaw! Mr. Shaw, hold on a second!"
"Mr. Shaw, what are your thoughts on Caroline Monet's highly anticipated return?"
"You haven't taken on a partner for the past three years. Weren't you waiting for her? Now that she's back, why aren't you interpreting together?"
Unfazed by the blinding barrage of camera flashes, Quentin maintained a stoic expression. "Where is Caroline?"
The reporters froze, struggling to process his question.
"Caroline is here at the summit. Didn't you know?"
"She was just right in front of you! She just went into that booth!"
"How do you know that's Caroline?" Quentin fired back.
The reporters were even more baffled.
The news had completely taken over the industry. Could it really be a fake?
"Mr. Shaw, Mrs. Hayes personally invited her. Haven't you heard?"
"Who is Mrs. Hayes?" Quentin asked dryly.
As if on cue, Jenna strutted over. Seeing her approach, the reporters immediately parted to create a path for her.
Quentin's icy gaze locked onto Jenna. His eyes radiated an unfiltered, suffocating pressure. "Are you Mrs. Hayes?"
Ever since she had been mistaken for Preston's wife, Jenna had never bothered to correct anyone. She had comfortably adopted the title in public as if it were her birthright.
