The Wife He Dumped, The Queen She Returned As novel Chapter 54

"That female interpreter can't be just anyone. If even Quentin Shaw is willing to partner with her, she has to be a big deal!"

"Honestly, even though her voice sounds different, her skills might just rival Caroline Monet's!"

Hearing this, Jenna bolted up from her seat. She stormed to the door and shrieked, "What kind of nonsense are you spouting!"

Startled by her outburst, the staff immediately fell silent and scattered.

Jenna spun back around, seething. "I can't stand it when people gossip like that. Absolutely zero class! Caroline, don't let their words get to you. As far as I'm concerned, you are the greatest interpreter in the world. If Quentin decided to partner with someone else, it just proves he's blind!"

The Imposter offered a stiff, uncomfortable smile. "It's fine."

Preston stood to the side, his brows knitted tightly together. He remained silent, lost in thought.

Suddenly, he turned and strode out the door, making a beeline for the interpreter's booths adjacent to the main hall.

He needed to see exactly who this female interpreter was.

Chloe had just tagged out with Quentin. She barely had time to sip her lukewarm water before a figure barged into her line of sight.

Preston was marching directly toward the booth. Through the glass, his silhouette was unmistakable.

Her stomach dropped. She immediately spun around to face the wall.

Outside the booth, Preston stared intently at the woman's back through the tinted glass, but the lighting made it impossible to see her clearly.

The woman was dressed in formal business attire. She had a slender frame and long hair tied back in a simple low ponytail, giving off an aura of cool detachment.

The longer he stared, the more sickeningly familiar she looked.

Preston was about to step closer when Mr. Lawson called out to him again. "Mr. Hayes, where did you run off to? We aren't finished discussing the project!"

Bringing in Caroline Monet as an interpreter was merely an excuse. The truth was, Mr. Lawson had always been highly interested in Vantage Group.

Having been approached twice now, Preston couldn't afford to brush the man off. He forced a polite smile and followed him back into the hall.

Mr. Lawson beamed. "Mr. Hayes, I believe we'll be ready to sign the contract right after today's summit wraps up."
