The Wife He Forgot to Marry novel Chapter 138

Eloise saw Winona’s unconcerned expression and scoffed internally, “Just wait until the surveillance video comes out. Let's see if you can still be so composed.”

Nolan arrived with a technician. As everyone gathered around in anticipation, he played the restored surveillance footage.

Tallulah, seeing the crowd, curiously squeezed to the front. The moment she saw the screen, she froze, but it was too late to stop it.

The video clearly showed Tallulah not only deleting the data from her own computer but also from Corin's. It also revealed that the lab fire was Tallulah's doing. She had poured a reagent into the mixture Winona was working on, causing an explosion. After the accident, she had secretly slipped away, leaving Winona to take all the blame.

Everyone was shocked. It finally dawned on them that Tallulah had orchestrated everything.

The colleagues who had blindly followed along and slandered Winona were instantly mortified. They stepped forward to apologize to Winona, then turned to glare at Tallulah.

The employees from Locke Group didn’t dare say anything to her, but the employees from Goddard Group had no such reservations. Wren, who had a fiery temper, exploded once she realized she'd been used as a pawn. “I heard you’re the R&D director at Locke Group. Turns out your research skills are garbage, but you’re a pro at framing people. Did you get your position through dirty tricks too?”

“This isn’t Locke Group! If you want to cause trouble, go back to your own company! What are you doing here at Goddard Group, being a shit-stirrer and dragging down our progress? Have you no shame?”

Wren’s words were scathing. Tallulah’s face cycled through shades of white and green, but she couldn’t utter a single word in her defense.

Out of respect for Yulen, Nolan tried to calm the crowd. “Alright, everyone, let’s get back to work. I will handle this matter.”

Winona smiled. “You did these stupid things. Don’t you think you deserve to be called out?”

Seeing Winona’s nonchalant attitude infuriated Tallulah even more. “If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be a laughingstock! Winona, why don’t you just get the hell out of the team? Is it because you still want to cling to Yulen?”

Winona’s reply was scornful. “Someone as incompetent as you is the one who should get out. And for the record, I’m not clinging to Yulen. If you can’t keep your own man on a leash, blaming someone else just makes you look even more pathetic.”

With that, she didn’t bother arguing further with Tallulah and turned to leave.

Tallulah stared at her triumphant back, seething with rage. If it weren’t for Winona, none of this would have happened. She was supposed to be the beloved princess everyone doted on. What right did a low-born woman like Winona have to compete with her? It was infuriating!
