Just then, a maid walked in carrying a tray with two steaming, scalding bowls of gourmet soup.
Snapping completely, Winona grabbed both bowls of boiling soup off the tray and violently hurled them in the direction of Willow and Tallulah.
Both women shrieked, scrambling backward, but the splash of the scalding liquid caught their arms, leaving angry, blistering red burns on their skin.
Clutching her arm and wincing in pain, Tallulah cried out, "Mom, are you okay?!"
Willow shook her head, her eyes wide with feral rage as she glared at Winona. "You little bitch, have you completely lost your mind?!"
If the floor wasn't covered in shattered porcelain, Willow would have charged forward and slapped her across the face.
Winona smiled, a cold, unhinged look in her eyes. "Didn't you just ask me to take care of Yulen and Tallulah? Well, this is how I take care of people. Are you sure you want me around?"
Remembering the time Winona had smashed a thermos over her, Tallulah shuddered violently.
Winona had completely changed. She was a live wire, ready to snap and burn the house down without caring about the consequences.
Willow barked at the maids to clean up the glass, screaming profanities at Winona the entire time.
"Shut up," Winona cut in, her voice freezing the room. "If you sabotage my aunt's promotion, I will march straight to the Locke Group headquarters with a megaphone and a picket sign. I will make sure every news outlet in the city knows that Yulen Locke committed marriage fraud, and that while we were living together, he legally married Tallulah and got her pregnant. Let's see what a scandal of bigamy and fraud does to Yulen's reputation and your company's stock price."
Willow was stunned into silence. She hadn't expected Winona to go straight for the jugular. "You wouldn't dare! If Yulen goes down and the company tanks, you'll ruin any chance you have of a good life!"
She couldn't believe Winona would actually destroy the man who provided for her.
Winona sneered. "Try me and find out."
The sheer, sociopathic finality in her eyes forced Willow to shut her mouth.
The woman was genuinely deranged.
Seeing that they had both finally shut up, Winona knew her threat had landed.
She smirked.
She should have gone scorched-earth from the very beginning. By playing nice, she had only let them think she was an easy target.
Turning on her heel, she headed for the front door.
Suddenly, Tallulah lunged forward, grabbing Winona's arm with a death grip. "Winona, please, I'm begging you, don't do this to Yulen! If you're angry, take it out on me!"
Disgusted, Winona yanked her arm back to shake her off.
Before she even applied any force, Tallulah threw herself dramatically to the floor, clutching her pregnant belly, her face twisting in exaggerated agony.
