Winona was stunned.
Did they really look alike?
No wonder she had felt a strange sense of familiarity the moment she laid eyes on him.
Suddenly, Forrest's gaze swept toward the window.
Simone panicked, yanking Winona down into a crouch.
Terrified of being caught by Forrest, Simone quietly ushered Winona away from the building.
Once they were safely out of the campus gates and back in the car, Simone turned to her. "Well? What do you think? I have good taste, right?"
Winona nodded.
A moment ago, she had genuinely thought Simone was just hopelessly blinded by a silly crush.
But after seeing Forrest Kane in person, she had to admit Simone had an excellent eye.
Forrest's aura, striking looks, and sheer brilliance completely outclassed any standard wealthy heir.
But the gap between their families was simply too vast.
She asked Simone, "Is your father going to approve of this?"
Dating was between two people, but marriage was a union between two families.
Simone let out a heavy sigh. "That's exactly what I'm stressed about. My dad has always expected me to marry another wealthy heir to secure a business alliance, but I have absolutely no interest in that."
Then, her eyes lit up with determination. "I'm planning to officially join the family company soon. Once I prove my worth and establish myself, I'll have the leverage to make my own decisions about marriage. I really, really like Forrest. I'm not giving up without a fight."
She then dragged Winona to the nearby luxury designer boutiques to pick out a gift for Forrest.
Winona thought about how Stefan had dropped everything at work to save her the other night and decided she also wanted to buy him a thank-you gift.
In the blink of an eye, Simone had bought an expensive pair of sneakers, dress socks, a tailored button-down shirt, and designer sunglasses.
Every time she went shopping, she practically wanted to buy Forrest an entirely new wardrobe.
Noticing that Winona had been browsing for a while without picking anything up, Simone asked, "Should we try a different street?"
Winona nodded. As they walked past a high-end florist, an elegant potted orchid caught her eye.
Simone asked, "Are you buying that for your place? You should grab a few! We have a ton of orchids at home, they're super easy to take care of."
