Leaning against him, Stefan immediately looked up and saw Winona. Seeing that she was about to walk away, his eyes instantly dimmed with disappointment.

Terrified she was going to leave, Hayes yelled her name twice more.

Left with no choice, Winona and Rhea walked over to greet them.

Deciding to be the ultimate wingman, Hayes practically shoved Stefan into Winona's arms.

"Listen, I've got a massive emergency to handle right now. Since you're heading that way anyway, why don't you take him home?"

Winona instinctively caught Stefan, supporting his weight. The smell of alcohol on him was overpowering; she couldn't even guess how much he had drank.

Standing off to the side, Maeve stomped her foot in fury. "If Hayes is busy, I'm more than happy to take Stefan home."

Knowing she wouldn't give up, Hayes grabbed Maeve by the arm and started dragging her away. "Oh, stop interfering. Stefan can't stand you, are you really that oblivious?"

Ignoring her screaming protests, he shoved Maeve into his car.

If he worked this hard to set them up, he was definitely getting a seat at the head table at their wedding.

Rhea quickly took the hint as well. "I'm gonna head home too! Winona, let's catch up later!"

With that, she practically sprinted away.

Seeing that Stefan was barely lucid, Winona had no choice but to help him into a cab.

Once they reached his place, she punched in his door code and guided him inside.

Biscuit came bounding out of his dog bed the moment he saw her, doing happy circles around her legs and barking playfully.

Winona quickly pressed a finger to her lips. "Shh."

Biscuit gave a soft "woof" and quietly trotted behind her.

Winona helped Stefan into his bedroom and managed to get him settled on the bed.

Then she headed to the kitchen to brew some hangover tea.

Biscuit followed her, happily chewing on a stuffed toy without getting in the way.
