The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 583

Stefan's reply came through almost immediately. *'When she wraps up, remind her to get something to drink.'*

*'Understood, Mr. Goddard.'*

Ezra couldn't help but marvel at the two of them. Both were incredibly high-powered, demanding individuals, yet they somehow managed to carve out fragments of time to care for each other. It was genuinely impressive.

It took Winona another two hours to process the data and finalize her experimental logs. Once everything was saved, she finally stopped, blinking her dry, burning eyes.

Ezra stepped forward. "Ma'am, Mr. Goddard asked me to remind you to drink some water."

Winona smiled, picking up her mug and taking a slow sip.

"Are you ready to head back?" Ezra asked.

She nodded, securely backing up her files before shutting down the computer.

Stefan was waiting for her when she got home. He had kept some ravioli warm for her on the stove. Starving, Winona sat beside him, picked up her silverware, and began to eat.

Stefan finished replying to a few urgent work emails before turning his attention to her. "Our wedding is exactly a month away. When are we going to squeeze in time for the photoshoot?"

She had been so buried in work recently that she'd completely forgotten about it. Maisie, the assistant to the wedding dress designer Stefan had hired, had been messaging her constantly for fittings, but Winona simply hadn't had the time to reply.

"Next weekend. I'll definitely clear my schedule for it."

Stefan smiled. "You'd better. Don't stand me up."

Winona pulled out her phone and opened the photos Maisie had sent. The designer had curated twelve spectacular gowns for her to choose from. But honestly, the thought of trying them all on sounded like an exhausting ordeal.

Rhea Sheffield had recently told her about an AI software for trying on clothes. Winona saved the photos, uploaded them along with a clear picture of her face, and let the app work its magic.

A few minutes later, the synthesized images generated. Scanning through them, she tapped her favorite and showed the screen to Stefan. "What do you think of this one?"

Stefan chuckled helplessly. "You're using AI to try on wedding gowns now? Tell me you aren't planning to outsource the actual photoshoot to a computer, too."

The night before, she'd hit a high-end club and mingled with local socialites who tipped her off about an exclusive dinner party happening that evening—one Stefan Goddard was rumored to attend. Giselle had immediately decided to leave work early today to 'accidentally' run into him.

There was a time when she had actually wanted to make a name for herself in pharmaceutical research. But lately, she'd realized that she could live an opulent, hedonistic lifestyle without lifting a finger. Her whole worldview had shifted.

Only the working class needed to grind. She was the daughter of a billionaire. Her job was to direct the workers and reap the benefits of their labor.

While waiting for the elevator, she ran into Dean Ziegler.

"Morning, Professor Ziegler," she greeted him with a bright smile.

Dean Ziegler, who had once genuinely admired her academic pedigree, just looked at her, his disappointment deepening by the day.

His expression was glacial. "I just finished seeing out one of our corporate partners. Giselle, why are you arriving so late today?"

Without a shred of embarrassment, Giselle offered a breezy excuse. "Oh, I was reviewing project files so late last night that I completely slept through my alarm. You're not mad at me, are you?"
