Winona looked at her calmly. "Before, Yulen gave me shares, and you bought them back. Now, I don't want cash. I just want the equity."
Furious, Camille snapped, "Winona, this is extortion! There's no way I'm agreeing to that!"
Winona spread her hands casually. "Then we have nothing to discuss. But keep in mind, for every day this project stalls, Locke Group hemorrhages money. I'm not the one racing against the clock. I'll just sit back and wait for the day your supply chain and funding completely collapse."
Camille hadn't expected her to accurately predict the total failure of their funding chain.
Did Winona sell her the proposal so readily in the beginning because she knew this day would come?
She glared at Winona. "You're truly ruthless, Winona. Even if my brother wronged you, the Locke family always treated you well, didn't we? Let me tell you, Tallulah is living at our house right now, and her life is worse than yours ever was."
Winona scoffed. "Treated me well? What a joke."
She stood up, her expression frigid. "Since we can't make a deal, I'll be leaving."
Thinking of the catastrophic consequences of the project failing, a chill ran down Camille's spine.
She rushed forward and grabbed Winona's arm.
"I'll scrape together three hundred million. Winona, surely that's enough?"
Winona didn't even look at her. She shook off Camille's hand and walked straight toward the door of the private dining room.
"Winona Jowett!"
Camille yelled in exasperation, "Don't be so greedy! Our family doesn't absolutely need you. We'll definitely find another way!"

On Saturday, Winona and Stefan went for her prenatal checkup together.
The ultrasound showed all the baby's metrics were perfectly normal.
Stefan sent the medical report to Violet and Wynne Walden.
Afterward, they grabbed lunch and went to the movies.
