The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 747

The next morning, Roxana wakes up, heads downstairs for breakfast, and notices a young woman sitting at the dining table.

"Good morning, Ms. Goddard. I'm Leah Linden. Mr. Goddard hired me to be your lifestyle assistant."

Leah's demeanor is very much like Stefan's executive secretaries—meticulous, rigorous, and completely professional.

She hands Roxana a resume.

Roxana is stunned as she reads it.

Leah has a bachelor's in architecture, a master's in interior design from abroad, and after working for a few years, earned an MFA in oil painting.

She had even been invited to lecture at the Tate Gallery for three years.

Roxana asks curiously, "I already have two lifestyle assistants. Isn't it a bit of a waste of your talents to be my assistant?"

Her assistants usually had to pass Margaret's grueling interviews.

With a resume like this, Margaret obviously couldn't find a single flaw, which is why Leah is standing here.

Leah smiles. "Mr. Goddard believes I can assist you, and I am confident I can excel in this role."

After breakfast, Roxana and Leah go into the study.

Once the door is closed, Leah pulls out a file. "Mr. Goddard has selected three international art academies for you. Over the next six months, I will be working with you to prepare your applications."

Roxana stares at the names of the schools, her eyes wide with disbelief.

But just as quickly, the light fades from her eyes.

"I tried this before. I almost succeeded. But as soon as my grandmother started warning my mother that letting a girl go too far away meant losing control over her, my mother locked me up."

Although Margaret pampers her with the finest clothes and luxuries, she micromanages every detail of Roxana's life—down to her outfits, hairstyles, and whether she's allowed a pet.
