The Wrong Girl and the Wronged Girl (Stella and Ethan) novel Chapter 876

“When this test was done, Manny, Dale, and Dan each sent five of their most trusted men to watch over it,” Victor said.

With fifteen men keeping a close eye on things, no one could’ve so much as breathed on the test results.

Tessa fell silent. That’s brutal.

Tampering with the results seemed nearly impossible.

Victor continued, “And the idea actually came from Dan himself, so he must be Dale’s kid.”

Tessa’s eyes brightened. “Wait, could it be that the doctor who ran the test was his father?”

Victor froze.

Tessa looked at him with a spark of possibility in her eyes.

Victor couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re the only one who could come up with something like that.”

Still, if there really had been any tampering, that explanation might be the only one that made sense— that the doctor was Dan’s father. Otherwise, who could’ve interfered under such tight supervision?

“I just feel like Dale doesn’t have any children,” Tessa muttered.

“Huh?” Victor looked at her.

“It’s just… intuition.”

Victor went quiet.

Tessa mumbled under her breath. I don’t know why, but the first time I saw Dale, something about him just screamed the kind of guy who ends up without kids.

“So what are you planning to do about the Ashen Pact next?” Victor asked.

The Ashen Pact was already a mess; and with today’s paternity test results, Dale was left with only one son—Dan.

That meant Dan would definitely be taking over the Ashen Pact.

He was its sole heir.

When Tessa had spoken with Stella before, she’d gotten the impression that Dan wasn’t someone to underestimate.

As for how Marie had managed to wreck him like that—there was no need to go into detail.

“Just, be careful around Dan,” she said softly.

Victor raised an eyebrow. “Worried about me?”

Before she could answer, he pulled her into his arms, settling her on his lap.

Tessa bit into the honeydew she was holding; the sound of the juicy fruit made Victor’s whole body tense.

He looked down with a smirk. “You again with the fruit? I swear, you’ve been nibbling all day.”

“This melon’s really good,” she said, chewing happily.

She bit off a strip of rind and tossed it into the trash, then took another big bite from the exposed flesh.

“You’ve eaten a lot of fruit today, haven’t you?” Victor asked. It was already close to bedtime; wouldn’t her stomach hurt later?

But Victor didn’t let go. He kicked the door open and carried her straight into the room.

Meanwhile, in Falvaria, Marie and Derrick stepped off their private jet, with Sebastian trailing far behind, too scared to get close.

He looked so pitiful that Marie shot him several sharp looks over her shoulder.

Every time she turned, Sebastian automatically took a step back.

“Get over here!” Derrick barked.

Watching him shrink back like that made Derrick want to disown him on the spot.

“I’m not going,” Sebastian muttered. “You two go ahead. Someone’s coming to pick me up.”

He didn’t even want to ride in the same car.

And honestly, no one could blame him.

The video of Marie beating the heck out of Dan and Andy had been terrifying enough to make anyone’s bones go weak just watching it.

No wonder Drax and Ashley had already fled Falvaria without a trace; only Sebastian was left, and even he kept his distance.

Derrick took one look at his spineless brother and decided not to bother with him.

“Forget it,” he said to Marie. “Let’s just go.”
