The car drove straight onto the tarmac. This was the Dawson family’s private airport; at the moment, theirs was the only plane parked there.
Marie shot Sebastian a cold glare—one so sharp he nearly bolted back into the plane. He could already feel it, staying in Falvaria was asking for trouble; sooner or later, she’d come for him.
That woman never forgets a slight—ever.
Derrick helped Marie into the car, while she spent the entire ride chewing him out—especially about how he’d run off that day.
Marie called him an idiot, a coward, and a disgrace; just thinking about it made her furious, and every time she got too mad, she looked like she might actually hit him.
Each time, Derrick caught her hands and coaxed her softly, telling her to hold it in—to wait until after she’d had the baby.
Once Marie fully believed that the child was indeed his, she stopped threatening to get rid of it.
As for Sebastian, there was no way he was getting in that car.
He stayed put until Marie and Derrick’s vehicle disappeared down the road; only then did he finally creep out of the plane.
“God, this is gonna be the death of me,” he muttered, heart still pounding.
He’d spent the whole flight terrified that Marie might suddenly rush over and beat him up.
And honestly, even if she did, he couldn’t exactly complain—it was Marie. The woman was terrifying.
If she really decided to beat him half to death, it wouldn’t just scare him senseless—it might literally kill him.
Worse yet, she was pregnant; if she ended up hurting the baby because she hit him too hard, Derrick would never forgive him.
“I swear, it’s like I’m stuck between two ticking time bombs,” he grumbled as he shuffled off the plane.
He was still fuming at Derrick. The situation back then had been chaos; if he hadn’t dragged Derrick out, he would’ve been the one beaten to a pulp.
He’d treated Derrick like a real brother—and what did he get for it? Betrayed and sold out like an idiot.
Just thinking about it made his blood boil.
He dialed a number, and the other end picked up almost immediately. “Mr. Sebastian?”
“Get the car in here—now. They’ve already left.”
No way in hell was he riding with Derrick again. He was too terrified of Marie, so he’d called for his own pickup.
But the voice on the line hesitated. “Mr. Sebastian, the road to the Dawson family airport has been closed off. No one’s allowed through.”
“What?”
“I’m stuck outside the exit gate. They won’t let me in. Maybe you can find another car from inside and meet me halfway?”
Sebastian went quiet.
He turned to look around the tarmac—other than the plane, the place was completely deserted.
This was the Dawsons’ private airfield; no outside vehicles were normally allowed in.
And the car that had picked up Derrick and Marie was already gone.
Sebastian’s mouth twitched. No idea? Seriously? Wait, could this be Marie’s doing?
Sebastian froze. All gone?
The cars were out; his pickup couldn’t get in. And the exit was twenty miles away. Was this a joke?
“Dan’s people were looking at me like I was an idiot. You happy about that?”
“I wouldn’t dare be happy,” Derrick said—his lips twitching upward despite himself.
He was clearly trying hard not to laugh, but the corners of his mouth kept betraying him.
Marie went silent. God, I could just kill him.
“How did I end up with such a moron?”
He really was hopeless.
“You can’t even imagine how bad it was that night—I still can’t talk about it without wanting to scream.”
“I didn’t know,” Derrick stammered.
He’d been blackout drunk—no clue what happened, no memory, nothing.
So however bad Marie had suffered, honestly, his memory of it was vague at best.
He just knew something had happened between them—but the details of how awful it’d been, he barely remembered.
Still, that morning, he’d caught a glimpse of the aftermath… and the sight alone had left him speechless.
So when Sebastian came to find him later, he’d still been half in shock.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Wrong Girl and the Wronged Girl (Stella and Ethan)
Ch 504 Ok. I’m officially trashing this book. It keeps getting worse. Grooming, the adoptive mother accepting and approving of the grooming, now here comes Victor with the emotional and physical kidnapping, using fear to force consent… just like Abraham did all Stella’s life. Even now. It’s just too much scumbag crap on this book. On top of that, Lillian still hasn’t gotten exposed to the world and still hasn’t died and we are at over 500 chapters. Can’t even close the first arc! Goodbye!...
Ch 500 This is just getting more ridiculous, especially this Dan thing. Why isn’t Derrick going after Dan instead of Marie? It also doesn’t seem like Dan has amnesia because why would he go with Marie to that island or even think to use Marie to steal from Derrick. Why would he even know who Derrick is? He didn’t know who Abel was, supposedly. Are they all jut idiots or are we, as readers, supposed to act Ike we didn’t notice he has memories of these people and just not Marie and Abel? Ridiculous....
Ch 489 Doesn’t this prove that Dan doesn’t actually have amnesia? Why would he go to the island with a strange woman and why would he steal from Derrick? He doesn’t know them....
Ch 488 I feel like this is going to be what Stella stole in his study in Pagenda or wherever his estate was....
Ch 485 I thought it was going to be the Reed family mine that she robbed, thus taking the Keenes product and leaving them in that situation....
Ch 483 o then, how did the Reeds fine her? How did they not know where she was from?...
Ch 477 Definitely hidden pedo in here, referring to tiny women as little girls in every way possible....
Ch 468 How could Stella inherit her adopted father’s weak stomach constitution?...
Ch 468 Abraham and Marie’s mother has been called Evelyn, Diane and Loretta.. which is it? Evelyn has been the most used....
Ch 465 She still doesn’t know the mistress is Lillian’s aunt?...
