Seeing Nancy, she paused, her eyes widening slightly.
Natalie introduced them. "Aunt Tilda, this is my friend Nancy Gaines. She made some soup, so we brought it over for Grandma."
Tilda’s gaze was still fixed on Nancy. It took her a long moment to snap out of it. "Nancy... nice to meet you."
She kept looking at her and asked, "When did you move to Kingswood City?"
Nancy found the question a bit odd. "Have we met before?"
Tilda hesitated, then shook her head. "No, you just look somewhat familiar."
Nancy smiled. "I moved here quite a while ago."
Tilda nodded, lowering her eyes without saying much else. "Well, you girls keep Grandma company for a bit. I'm going to run to the restroom."
She walked straight out of the hospital room, hurrying to the restroom where she immediately pulled out her phone and scrolled through her photo gallery.
After scrolling for a long time, she finally remembered that she had gotten a new phone. That specific photo was long gone.
She really wanted to verify it, but the face in her memory remained frustratingly blurry. The harder she tried to recall it, the fuzzier it became.
Yet, Nancy definitely gave her a strong sense of familiarity.
Then again, she thought it couldn't possibly be such a coincidence.
By the time Tilda returned to the room, her expression had returned to normal as she looked at Natalie and Nancy.
She walked over and kept Yvonne company, chatting quietly.
Two knocks echoed from the door.
As luck would have it, Hassan Carlson arrived shortly after.
Everyone in the room looked surprised to see him.
Natalie was especially taken aback. The first voice she had heard on his phone earlier was Gardenia’s, followed by his. It was highly likely the two of them were in bed together, with Gardenia deliberately trying to provoke her.
Yvonne took a deep breath. The doctor had told her to keep her emotions as stable as possible.
Hassan walked in, carrying a basket of premium wellness supplements, which he set on the cabinet by the entrance.
Tilda stared at him.
