Natalie dragged him all the way to a quiet corner at the end of the corridor. She yanked her wrist free, her voice laced with ice. "What exactly are you doing here? Did you come specifically to piss off my grandmother?"

"Don't you want to know about Finn?"

She frowned slightly. "You could have just texted me. Why did you have to come to the hospital? Don't you hate hospitals?"

She paused, her gaze drifting toward the window. "What about Finn? Just say it."

"The person having dinner with Finn at the restaurant that day was another one of Lemuel's former students. That student is closely tied to Lyndon. And your aunt Tilda's husband was also at that table."

Natalie was taken aback. "Why would he be there?"

"The restaurant is highly exclusive. Other than knowing who attended, there's no way to know exactly what they discussed. But according to the waiter who served them, Lyndon and your grandfather's names were brought up."

Hassan added, "Also, after meeting with them, Finn came to the hospital to visit your grandfather."

Natalie was perplexed. "Whose side is he actually on?"

Part of her truly believed Finn would never do anything to harm her grandfather.

But why was he dining with Lyndon’s associates?

Lyndon was already sitting behind bars; it wasn't like Finn needed to avenge her grandfather anymore.

"Is that it?" She looked up at the man standing before her. "You could have easily sent all of this in a text."

"You hung up on me pretty fast," he said evenly. "Don't you want to know why Gardenia answered your call?"

She met his gaze, a mocking smirk playing on her lips. "Why would I need to know? What, are you going to tell me it was just an accident, that nothing happened between you two, and suddenly we aren't getting a divorce? That we're just going to go back to how we were? How is that possible? Since nothing is going to change, what's the point of explaining? It has nothing to do with me anymore, does it?"

She fired the words at him, and with every syllable, his expression grew darker.

He gave a slow nod. "Right. It has nothing to do with you anymore."

He pulled a card from his pocket. "This is the business card of the restaurant manager. According to him, Finn eats in that specific private room with people every single week. If you have any more questions, you can contact him directly. We don't need to be in touch."
