After examining her, the doctor said, "Lack of sleep, extreme physical exhaustion, and mental strain led to a temporary blackout. It's stress-induced."

The doctor brought out a bag of glucose solution and set up an IV for Natalie.

Jacob muttered, "How can she have stress? Someone who lashes out whenever she's slightly annoyed shouldn't have any pent-up stress."

Hassan looked at Jacob. "Her grandmother went missing."

Jacob froze, suddenly at a loss for words.

Even though he didn't get along with Natalie, he knew what her grandmother meant to her and how important she was.

"You need to take care of your back. Look at what a mess it is," Jacob frowned.

But Hassan kept his eyes on the figure on the bed without moving. "I'm fine. You should head back. If your grandfather finds out you snuck out, he'll definitely punish you."

Jacob sneered. "Right now, my life is nothing but training. There are only twenty-four hours in a day, and if he wants to punish me, he has to wait until I'm free. If he gives me extra training, the day would have to magically become twenty-five hours long. If I end up like you, I'd gladly take a day lying in bed."

Hassan looked at him. "Whatever. Get out."

Jacob could tell Hassan was just trying to kick him out.

"No, I seriously don't get it. Do you still have feelings for Natalie? Then what about Gardenia? Are you not planning on divorcing Natalie anymore?"

Hassan lowered his eyes, looked back at him, and said, "No feelings. Definitely getting a divorce. Satisfied? Can you leave now?"

"...Fine! I'll get lost. I'm leaving, happy?" Jacob snapped, unable to control his temper after being brushed off like that, and stormed out in a huff.

Finally, some peace and quiet.

Hassan collapsed onto the other side of the bed, closing his eyes to rest.
