Suzie slowly stood up. “Alright, Stella, let’s not talk about this anymore. The most important thing right now is Mr. and Mrs. Cross. I want to go up and see them.”
Worried about Suzie’s condition, Stella immediately refused. “No, you’re not going up there. It’s too stressful for a pregnant woman to be in that environment. Besides, Mr. Cross is not in a good state, and we still don’t know about Mrs. Cross. I’m taking you home now. You need to go home and rest; you have work tomorrow. I’ll go home, take a shower, change, and then come back to the hospital. Let’s go.”
Suzie listened to Stella’s efficient planning and saw the exhaustion on her friend's face. She didn’t want to cause any more trouble.

In her dream, Suzie received a message from Martha: Jamie had died on the operating table.

Suzie knelt in the grand hall, desperately trying to explain, but no one would listen.
When she looked at Richard, his weathered face was etched with profound disappointment and even hatred.
She crawled on her knees toward him, begging him to investigate the truth, but Richard Baylor shoved her away.
The door swung open. “Stella,” Suzie said, her voice hoarse. “I just had a nightmare. It scared me, but I’m okay now.”
Stella immediately took her by the hand, led her to the living room couch, and rushed to the kitchen to get her a glass of water.
“They say pregnant women have a lot of dreams, and most of them are bad ones. Don’t be scared,” Stella said gently, handing her the glass. “And from now on, don’t lock your door from the inside. If something happened to you, I’d be terrified.”
Suzie reached for the glass, but her hand was still trembling from the shock of the nightmare. The cup slipped from her grasp and shattered on the floor.
Stella quickly stopped Suzie from bending down and swiftly grabbed a broom to clean up the broken glass.
Looking at the mess on the floor, Suzie spoke, her voice thick with embarrassment. “Stella… I…”
