She rushed forward, slapping at Jamie's arm and shouting, "Jamie, let him go!"

"Suzie, go back to the dinner. Stay out of this," Oliver grunted, his face contorted in pain.

"Go back to the room," Jamie echoed coldly.

Suzie looked frantically between the two men, still smacking Jamie's arm. Terrified they would draw a crowd, she kept her voice low but authoritative. "No! Let go of him first!"

Jamie frowned, but slowly released his grip on Oliver's arm. He turned to Suzie, his tone softening instantly. "Head back inside."

Suzie refused to move. "Go on," Oliver agreed, rubbing his shoulder.

She stared at them with deep apprehension, knowing full well that they both genuinely wanted her gone. She wanted to leave, but she was terrified they would tear each other apart the second she walked away.

Just then, Mia came jogging down the hall, out of breath. "Suzie, you need to come talk some sense into Stella. She and Mr. Lambert are getting into a massive drinking contest. They're both about to pass out."

Suzie let out a heavy, frustrated sigh. She cast one last warning look at the two men before turning and hurrying back down the hall with Mia.

The moment she was out of sight, Jamie grabbed Oliver by the collar and aggressively shoved him into the stairwell.
