Suzie smiled faintly as they walked.
“In that case, don’t let go. It would be best if they all thought I was the girlfriend of such a famous heartthrob.”
Hayden laughed. “Ah, what a sacrifice I’ll have to make. I can only imagine how heartbroken my legion of admirers will be when they see this. So, how are you feeling? You must be exhausted after such a long flight.”
Suzie shook her head. “I’m not tired. By the way, how did the contract negotiations with Starlight Entertainment go?”
Hayden’s brow furrowed. “Well… the contract itself is fine. But just before we boarded, I got a text from the project lead on their side. He wants to add another clause. I’ll show you the details when we get to your place.”
Suzie waved a dismissive hand. “Don’t bother. The contract was drafted by our lawyers, and both sides have already reviewed it. If he wants to add something now, just reject it. Reply to him right now.”
“Suzie,” Hayden added, “we’ve reviewed the contract, but it hasn’t been signed yet. His text was phrased as a negotiation.”
As they spoke, they exited the terminal gate. Suzie glanced into the distance and saw her manager and an assistant leading the children out of the main hall.
She paused for a moment and replied, “Every company’s contract is written after careful consideration. All the power in this situation lies with the client. Now that the contract is in our hands, anything he wants to add at this stage is bound to be solely for their benefit. I’m not wrong, am I?”
Hayden nodded. “You’re right. What he mentioned in the text was definitely…”
“Exactly. Reject it outright. I don’t like working with people who are so indecisive.”
Hearing this, Hayden simply nodded and said no more.
Suzie spoke again. “You take them back to my place first. I’ll be back before the livestream.”
