The Years Between Signing and Seeing novel Chapter 602

On top of everything, that nightmare of a woman, Larissa Lowell, had extorted her at the banquet. The cash Lexi had on hand wasn't enough to cover the "damages," so she had to pawn the expensive bracelet she used to keep up appearances. Even then, she had to max out payday loans just to make ends meet, and now she couldn't even make rent.

She was dangerously close to selling the only thing of value she had left—her professional camera. But without it, she had no career. Photography was the only skill she had.

If she had known Suzie would become this successful, she never would have let Chloe talk her into crossing her.

As Lexi stared at the floor, lost in her misery, Sienna let out a harsh laugh.

"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue? Hit the nail on the head, didn't I? Let me make one thing perfectly clear, Lexi: if you even think about trying to pull something on Suzie again, I will personally ensure your name is absolute garbage in the photography world."

Hearing Sienna's tone and seeing Suzie sitting there with an unreadable expression, Lexi didn't need to be a genius to figure out how fiercely loyal they were to each other.

If she kept locking horns with Sienna, she was going to get thrown out onto the street.

Lexi took a deep breath and swallowed her pride. "I really do have something important to tell Suzie. It's crucial information for her. Just let me talk to her, please?"

Seeing Lexi suddenly back down, Sienna dropped her aggressive stance. She gave Lexi a cold, sweeping glare before turning to Suzie. "I'm going to go grab a coffee."

As she spoke, Sienna shot Suzie a meaningful look—a silent warning not to trust a single word out of Lexi's mouth.
