Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 102

Sylvia quickly chimed in to back her up, "That's exactly what happened. It was a chaotic moment, and she was in so much pain she wasn't thinking straight. Normally, she would never do such a thing. You know how much she treasures that sachet!"

Their story was flawless, without a single hole to pick apart.

Julian stared at Seraphina without saying a word.

Seraphina sniffled. "Julian, my face hurts so much..."

Julian pressed his lips into a tight line, his thumb brushing over the embroidery on the sachet. The texture was as familiar as it had been all those years ago, when the little girl had taken his hand and let him touch it...

At the memory, his heart softened. He let out a quiet sigh, handing the sachet back to her. "Keep it safe from now on."

"Get some rest. I'll have Arthur contact a doctor."

Hearing this, both Seraphina and Sylvia breathed a massive sigh of relief.

Seraphina took the sachet and nodded obediently. "Okay!"

Julian gave a curt nod and turned to leave.

Seeing him about to depart, Sylvia frantically signaled her daughter with her eyes to bring up the main issue.

Seraphina suddenly remembered. "Oh, right, Julian! There's one more thing I need to talk to you about!"

Julian glanced back. "What is it?"

Seraphina bit her lip. "It's about the design preliminaries. Aren't they starting soon? The spots are so limited, I'm worried I won't get in..."

Julian understood immediately. "Don't worry. I've already contacted the organizers. They have a spot secured for you."

Seraphina's face lit up with joy. "Thank you, Julian!"

"Get some rest," Julian replied flatly.

Seraphina wanted to say more, but Julian's phone suddenly buzzed. He pulled it out to check. It was a message from Susan. After reading it, his expression shifted slightly. "Something came up. I have to go."

Seraphina wanted to beg him to stay, but she knew how busy he was. She didn't want to push her luck. As long as he cared for her and looked out for her, that was enough.

"Okay, drive safe!"

Julian left.

Sylvia glanced at the closed door, making sure he was far away before leaning in with a gleeful smile. "Julian really dotes on you. He even secured such a rare spot just for you."

Seraphina smiled triumphantly, but her thoughts quickly returned to the sachet. Her expression grew serious as she warned her mother, "You can't be that careless ever again. We got lucky this time, but what about the next?"

Sylvia was still reeling from the close call. Remembering Julian's dark expression made her heart pound. She wouldn't dare make that mistake again.

"I know, I know. Enough about that. The most important thing right now is the competition. You need to pass the preliminaries first. Use these next few days to practice! Stop wasting time working at Julian's company!"

Seraphina agreed.

Her time was precious now. She couldn't afford to waste it at the office anymore.

Clara wasn't even worth her time anymore!

"I know."
