Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 331

Reaching the top of the stairs, she saw the man walking through the entryway. In his sharply tailored suit, he looked refined and handsome, though his expression was grim—likely frustrated by something at work.

Clara smiled, walked up to the banister, and called his name.

Julian clearly stiffened before looking up at her. Meeting her radiant smile, he gave a barely perceptible frown.

But he quickly masked his reaction, offering a faint smile as he headed up the stairs. "When did you get here? Why didn't you tell me?"

Clara's smile faltered slightly as she scoffed, "I texted you at noon. Did you not see it?"

Though she sounded playful, she was genuinely hurt.

"Mr. Lowell must be incredibly busy. So busy he doesn't even have a second to check his phone..."

Julian was far too smart not to catch the underlying jab. What she really wanted to know was what he had been doing all day.

But everything he had done today involved Sera. There was no way he was going to tell her that.

Regarding the custom design, he had tried to talk Sera out of it, urging her to drop it. But she was dead set on it, refusing to give it up. She even cried, claiming she had no idea she would be competing against Clara. If she had known Clara was taking the project, she would never have gotten involved. But now, she had fought tooth and nail for this opportunity and refused to just walk away, begging him for one last favor.

Left with no choice, he let her keep the project, strictly warning her not to start a war with Clara, which she agreed to.

He knew this was completely unfair to Clara and would devastate her. After all, he had promised her he wouldn't get involved with Sera again.

But in the end, Clara just wasn't that important to him.

At most, he liked her a little.

Liking someone wasn't love. Eventually, he would get bored and stop liking her.
