Three years of loving him, three days to erase myself from his world novel Chapter 333

Clara didn't say a word, just shoving at him through the thick comforter.

Julian let out a low laugh and yanked the blanket down, revealing her utterly flushed, breathless face.

Humiliated and annoyed, Clara thrashed against him for a few seconds before giving up and turning her face away.

Julian sighed softly. He buried his face in her shoulder, took a deep breath, and muttered, "You reek of cat."

Clara bit her lip. "Then get away from me! You liar! Is everything you say to me a lie too?"

Julian's eyes darkened. In one swift motion, he rolled over, hauling her up and pinning her flush against his chest.

"Stop talking nonsense. You're the only one I have this kind of patience for. Let anyone else try acting like this with me."

Clara's heart did a flip, but she stayed quiet. Pinned down and unable to move, she simply lay against him.

Julian was practically drained of his temper, amazed to find that his patience for her only seemed to be growing.

It was because he hadn't fully possessed her yet!

Because he couldn't have her, he craved her intensely.

He stroked the back of her hair, his tone carrying a coaxing warmth even he didn't notice. "I was wrong about the cats. I won't do it again, okay? I'm just not used to them yet..."

Clara wasn't made of stone. Hearing his seemingly genuine apology, she felt her defenses soften.

Sensing her surrender, Julian chuckled, pressed a kiss to her cheek, and lifted her into his arms, carrying her back upstairs.

Her face bright red, Clara kicked her legs in protest. "The cats!"

Julian murmured. "Tomorrow. We finally have the place to ourselves. Are we really going to let them play third wheel?"

Left speechless and completely mortified, Clara buried her face in his shoulder and bit him.

Julian, however, felt like he was walking on air. Like a teenage boy about to score for the first time, he was practically vibrating with impatience.

Ultimately, though, he didn't get what he wanted.

Clara got her period.
