Chuck looked away with a polite smile. "It's nothing. I just think Tristan and Nova's relationship seems to be doing wonderfully. Are we to expect a great-grandchild soon?"

That was exactly what Belinda wanted to hear.

She beamed.

But she couldn't exactly discuss the private matters of the young couple in front of an outsider like Chuck, so she deflected. "Nova just mentioned they're going to wait until she's in better health. I'm in no rush. I'll just have to make sure I live long enough to meet my great-grandbaby!"

Hearing this, Tristan merely smiled faintly.

Chuck sat down across from Nova and shot her a glance.

She returned a polite smile.

Yet, Chuck couldn't shake the feeling...

After saying that, he looked at Nova.

Nova kept her head down, eating silently, but Tristan's gaze lingered on her for quite a while.

If Chuck hadn't known the inside story, he would have thought Tristan was genuinely in love with her, rather than just putting on a show for Belinda.

This was especially true at the end of dinner when Nova stood up and twisted her ankle. Tristan scooped her up into his arms and turned to Belinda. "Grandma, we'll be heading back to our room."

Belinda smiled and nodded, and even Abdul and Felipa mirrored her warm attitude.

Chuck looked at Nova just as Tristan carried her away.

Her arms were wrapped around Tristan's neck, her hands gripping his clothes tightly.
