The day after Noelle sent Zayne away, she had barely gotten out of bed when Clifford's shouting erupted outside her door.
"Noelle! Give me Zayne! He was only with you for two days, and you've abused him! You've gone too far!"
Noelle unhurriedly got dressed and went downstairs.
Hunter was already standing outside the door.
Aside from Clifford, there were police officers and a crowd of reporters at the door. When Noelle appeared, the reporters immediately swarmed forward.
"Ms. Quinn, you're an outstanding racer on the national team, but we've heard you abused a child. Is that true?"
"Ms. Quinn, your ex-husband claims you mistreated your son and sent him abroad without permission for illegal dealings. Is that allegation true?"
"Ms. Quinn, we heard your child has an ocular disease caused by your negligent care. Do you have anything to explain?"
One of the police officers turned to Noelle. "Please cooperate with our investigation, Ms. Quinn."
Battered by the barrage of questions, Noelle felt a headache coming on. She raised her voice and coldly announced, "Please give me a second, everyone. I'd like to make a formal statement and explanation!"
She faced the cameras and continued, "From now on, everything I say can serve as evidence in court. I will take full responsibility for my words and actions and not evade accountability."
When she held out her hand, Hunter passed her the evidence.
She raised it high. "When Clifford and I divorced, my child, Zayne, was not blind. This is his medical report from when he was hospitalized for an acute appendicitis surgery."
Clifford's pupils shrank. He had just learned about the plan last night, so how was Noelle already prepared?
Noelle coldly continued, "Zayne was born with a congenital ocular disease. During the five years he was under my care, his vision remained perfectly stable and was unaffected by the progression of his illness. These are his annual medical reports for the past five years."
As she presented more evidence, she added, "Within months of our divorce, Zayne's eyes suffered severe deterioration. During that period, I called his legal guardian, Clifford, and advised him to seek immediate medical attention. Back then, Zayne wasn't completely blind yet."
She played the recording of her call with Clifford, and her voice rang clearly through the audio.

At those words, the looks the crowd cast at Clifford turned contemptuous and hostile.

If a scandal involving a national team racer abusing a child had gotten out, Noelle's career would have been ruined.
Clifford was truly vicious!
"Clifford Fuller, please come with us and assist in the investigation!" the police officer said sternly.

Noelle smiled. "Thank you, officer. I appreciate the effort."
