Louis snickered and slid a contract in front of Noelle. "I really like talking to smart people. Take a look at this contract. If you're satisfied with it, the rest of our discussion will proceed smoothly."
Noelle eyed the contract he handed over with suspicion. When she saw the content, she instantly found it absolutely absurd.
She let out a laugh. "Coach Burke, what is this?"
The contract stated that Noelle would voluntarily give up racing for Stonegate Racing Team and renounce her status as a Stonegate racer to sign with the international team, Blackbear Racing, instead.
Noelle had heard of Blackbear Racing long ago. That team not only used dirty tricks and bizarre methods against competitors, but they also liked to poach other teams' commercial deals.
In the early days, Blackbear Racing was the rotten apple of the international racing world.
Yet their backing was formidable, and no one dared to touch them. Over time, Blackbear Racing grew increasingly stronger and gradually washed away traces of its tainted history.
Eventually, it became the ideal racing team for many up-and-coming racers.
But Noelle wasn't a newcomer. She knew plenty about Blackbear Racing. Naturally, she also knew how low they could go.
On the other hand, a team like that was perfect for someone like Louis.
"Sorry, I'm not very interested in signing with other teams. And thank you, Coach Burke, for thinking so highly of me."
Noelle added sarcastically, "Coach Burke, you're so enthusiastic about doing business. You must've brought a lot of deals to Blackbear Racing, huh? Oh, right."
She feigned pity. "I ran into Derrick at the International Grand Prix. He's with the Norland Racing Team now, and he's having a miserable time. If I listen to you and sign this contract, I doubt my future will be bright."
Louis' expression remained serious. "Derrick has been treated like that because he's stubborn and won't cooperate. Besides, he doesn't have enough seniority or experience, unlike you, Ms. Quinn."

Louis wore a smug look, as if assured that he was all-seeing. Noelle clenched her fists, disgust flickering in her eyes.

Louis looked at her intently. "As long as you want it, everything will be at your disposal."
Noelle's gaze grew colder. She looked at him with a faintly amused smile. "I'm actually curious. How can someone like you manage to stay in the intensive training camp?"
Her smile turned icier as she added, "Or are you only here to do your so-called business? You take the racers selected by the national team and sign them away, selling them to others.
"There isn't a single racer who stands out among all the intensive training camps in the country because you, and whoever is backing you, are poaching those with potential!"
She stared straight at Louis. "Louis, don't you think you're going too far in your business? You're using what others devote their entire lives to defend and protect as your bargaining chips. Isn't that shameful and filthy?"
