Too Good for You The Ex-Wife You Lost novel Chapter 249

Sure enough, Louis panicked for a second, but he put his shamelessness to good use and acted as if he would never admit a thing.

"Everyone, you misunderstood. We were just trying to calm the troublemakers down just now, and I got a bit impulsive. Nothing else is going on here…"

"Louis, I let you manage the intensive training camp on my behalf because someone recommended you. And what did you do? You've pushed the members so hard that they all wanted to leave.

"These are outstanding prospects we painstakingly scouted from all over the country, and this is how you treat them. What if we lose all of the talents in our camp?" Jude snapped.

This time, he was the one who brought the inspection unit. If he didn't do something now, Louis would really steal his head coach position. If the latter truly had what it took, he wouldn't mind giving up the job. Yet, Louis was evidently blinded by greed.

Louis' expression turned stern at once. "Coach Landaal, they were the ones breaking the rules. I just wanted to teach them a lesson and make them remember…"

"Louis, the only one breaking the rules here is you!"

The inspection unit captain, Gordon Latham, said coldly as he raised the complaint letters in his hand.

"We've received over a dozen reports against you. Among them are substantial pieces of evidence that you instigated national team members to sign with foreign teams.

"You're a coach of our national team. Instead of helping the country train talents, you've been sending them abroad. Your actions go far beyond simple violations of law!"

Gordon's expression was grave. "We've already filed with the prosecutor's office to launch an investigation into your illegal conduct. If the accusations are substantiated, not only will the prosecutor make you pay, but our inspection unit will also submit disciplinary sanctions against you!"

In an instant, Louis' face turned deathly pale. The racers and coaches who had stood behind him a moment ago all edged away.

Someone from the inspection unit walked straight up to him and said sternly, "Louis, please come with us."

Louis' legs nearly gave out. He never thought the inspection unit would leave him with no respect and no chance.

"There must be some misunderstanding here!" he cried out in a panicked voice.

Yet, with all the evidence laid out, no one was willing to listen. As Louis watched handcuffs close around his wrists, he anxiously looked back.

The coaches and racers who had been colluding with him were now keeping their distance, as if worried he would drag them down with him.
