Chapter 187 Drunken Fruit Juice
“Elias is sleeping inside.” Elias‘ sire smiled kindly.
“Sire, what color beast–hide do you like?” Kyle asked as he sat down. “I’ll bring some over for you later.
When Elias came out, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he found Kyle chatting away with his sire.
Meanwhile, Ethan stood off to the side, his expression dark, his fists clenched at his sides.
Elias asked, “What are you doing here?”
“I happened to be passing by, so I thought I’d come and visit.” Kyle walked over with a smile. “Right, Sire”
“We haven’t even mated yet,” Elias retorted, unable to stop himself from commenting when he heard Kyle addressing his sire with such familiarity.
Ethan immediately agreed. “Exactly!”
“I love hearing Kyle call me that.” Elias‘ sire shrugged, seemingly growing fonder and fonder of Kyle. He took Kyle’s hand with an affectionate look. “Stay for dinner tonight. I’ll make you something delicious.”
“Thanks, Sire.” Kyle nodded with a big grin. “I’ll help you.”
The two of them were getting along quite harmoniously, almost like a real father and son.
Elias sat nearby with his chin in his hand, nudging Kyle with his elbow. “Calm down a little. I’m the one who’s actually related to him.”
“We’re family–that means we’re all his children.” Kyle quietly took Elias‘ hand, then frowned. “Why are your hands so cold?”
Elias glanced at his sire and hastily pulled his hand back.
“Behave yourself!” he hissed.
When the food was ready, Kyle took one whiff and began praising everything enthusiastically. Elias‘ sire was so flattered that he absolutely beamed with joy.
Ethan ate in sullen silence, his eating sticks clacking loudly and betraying his irritation.
After dinner, Elias‘ sire invited Kyle to stay the night and sleep with Ethan.
Kyle was naturally more than willing, but when he turned around and saw Ethan’s dark, unsettling expression, a chill ran down his spine. Afraid he might get stabbed in the middle of the night, he forced a smile and shook his head.”
I’ll come visit again tomorrow, Sire.”
As soon as Kyle left, Ethan grabbed Elias by the arm and pleaded, “Elias, don’t mate with Kyle. Please?”

Chapter 187 Drunken Fruit Juice
“Don’t you and Kyle get along well?” Elias asked in confusion.
“Not anymore.” Ethan shook his head frantically. “We don’t get along anymore.”
Elias‘ sire immediately interrupted, “Stop causing trouble. Kyle is such a good kid.”
“What’s so good about him?”
“Just go to sleep.”
On the day Elias and Kyle became mates, the weather was perfect. The sun shone brightly, and even the wind seemed gentle.
Kyle stood proudly, his head held high like a victorious general. Holding Elias‘ hand tightly in his own, he grinned from ear to ear.
Elias wore a moon–white outer robe, exquisitely tailored and slightly cinched at the waist, with snow–rabbit fur trimming the collar, A blue sapphire necklace hung around his neck. He looked like an elf from a winter forest–beautiful and sacred.
The clothes were a gift from Quincy and Zachary. They had stayed up for several nights to complete it, finally finishing it at noon the day before.
Elias had been moved to tears when he first received it.
Outside the cave, Kyle and Elias stood side by side, enveloped in the warm sunlight.
The shaman held a soft branch in his hand, smiling as he chanted a prayer. After circling them three times, he suddenly pressed his hands together. “May the Beast God bless you!”
Holding the sacrificial offerings, Elias and Kyle went on both knees and raised them toward the sky. “May the Beast God bless us!”
The others chanted along, “May the Beast God bless them!”
Afterwards, the fire was lit, the flames dancing merrily in the wind. Everyone offered their gifts and blessings to the couple, then started preparing for a night of celebration.
The rich aroma of food filled the air as people gathered around the fire, laughing and chatting happily.
Staring at the clear liquid in his bowl, Zachary turned to Matthew. “What is this?”
Matthew replied, “Drunken fruit juice.”
“Is it good?”
“It is, but you’ll get dizzy if you drink too much.”
Taylor leaned over. “It’ll also make you feel light when you walk, like stepping on clouds.” Quincy smiled and added, “We don’t usually get to drink this. You should try it.”

Chapter 187 Drunken Fruit Juice
Curious, Zachary took a small sip. It tasted very much like fruit wine from the modern world–sweet and smooth, not harsh in any way.
Matthew placed a few pieces of meat on Zachary’s plate. “Eat something before you start drinking
Zachary nodded. Eating and drinking with the others, it wasn’t long before he had finished the entire bowl of drunken fruit juice. He stared longingly at Matthew’s bowl.
“No more,” Matthew said firmly.
Thinking that it was just fruit juice with some alcohol, Zachary wasn’t too bothered by Matthew’s attitude. He secretly poured more into his own bowl when Matthew wasn’t looking.
Seeing
how much Zachary liked the drunken fruit juice, the children also shared their portion with him
After the meal, everyone gathered around the fire. The adults sang and danced, laughing merrily, while the children played games of tag nearby. The atmosphere was incredibly lively and festive.
Yael dragged Matthew away to join the others, so Zachary sat with Quincy and Elias.
At a certain point, Zachary felt his face growing warm and his limbs turning weak. His head spun dizzily, and his vision seemed to glow with a soft haze.
As the conversation went on, he leaned affectionately against Quincy. He took Quincy’s hand, lightly squeezing and shaking his long fingers.
Elias called out, “Zachary?”
“Yeah?” Zachary blinked and gave a silly smile. A flush had crept across his face, almost as though he had deliberately applied blush on his cheeks.
Elias leaned closer. “How much drunken fruit juice did you drink?”
“Just a little bit. Zachary raised a finger, squinting hard as he spoke. Then, he giggled to himself again.
“Are you sleepy? Do you want to rest?” Quincy automatically steadied Zachary’s swaying body, but Zachary suddenly hugged Quincy, burying his face in his neck and nuzzling him.
“You smell so nice…” he murmured. “Let me hug you…”
