Transmigrated to Raise Panther Cubs
Chapter 243 A Surprise Reveal

The riverbanks were filled with therians from different tribes, and the mixed scents made smell useless as a warning tool at that moment.
Two black panthers were half sprawled on the ground, already exhausted, their eyes barely half open.
A few gray falcons dove in at high speed and split into two groups just as they closed in on the target. They aimed at the beast hide bag holding the items and the sleeping sub–therians.
But just as their claws were about to grab the sub–therians, two dark shadows shot forward, and a scream tore through the silent night sky.
Matthew bit through one gray falcon’s leg, his dark eyes clouded like a storm. His whole body radiated killing intent.
Taylor and Jaden jolted awake almost instantly. The two young black panthers arched their backs high, fur bristling in an instant.
The vulture and red panda tribes also rushed in to help.
Screams rang out one after another. A bloodied gray falcon dragged its broken body and trembled as it retreated into the sky.
After shifting into human form, Matthew walked to the river and frowned as he washed the gray
blood off.
Under the dim firelight, Zachary asked worriedly, “Did you get hurt?”
falcon’s
“No.” Matthew pulled him into his arms, resting his/chin in the crook of his neck. His hand moved along Zachary’s back in a slow, calming pat. “Go to sleep. I’m watching.”
“I’m not sleepy.” Zachary wrapped his arms around his waist. “I’ll sit with you for a while.”
“Mm.”
After Quincy coaxed the two cubs back to sleep, he also lost his sleepiness. He leaned against his mate in beast form and used his fingers to comb through his fur.
At dawn, a cool breeze swept across the wide river surface. Birdsong echoed through the forest as the red sun slowly rose from behind the eastern hills.
The surroundings gradually became lively again.
Yael stretched and brushed his teeth with a makeshift toothbrush still in his mouth. As he scrubbed back and forth, he said, “This thing is actually pretty convenient.”
Compared to him, Taylor and Jaden were much more well–behaved. They squatted on the ground, holding cups in their left hands and toothbrushes dipped in tooth powder in their right, brushing seriously. Even Little Baldy was drawn over and joined in.

Zachary wanted something warm to drink, so he made a pot of spinach and egg soup. The spinach had a light sweetness, and the eggs were soft and smooth. Mixed, it was both comforting and refreshing.
Just as it was almost ready, he looked up and noticed a lot of therians watching them, some even asking if they could trade for it.
Yael immediately said, “This is our breakfast. No trade, no trade.”
Taylor nodded hard and said, “If we trade, we’ll end up going hungry.”
Just soup definitely wasn’t enough. Zachary steamed up another plate of the smoked ham he had brought, then he made some dill pickles and roasted a few potatoes.
Since Matthew and Yael were there, he also pan–fried several large beef cuts.
Compared to other therians who just ate grilled meat straight off branch skewers, Yael’s group looked like they were on vacation. There was soup, vegetables, meat, and starch. There was even a bowl of washed- fruit.
Last night, both the red panda tribe and the vulture tribe came over right away to help. As a way of saying thanks, Zachary made extra smoked ham and sent it to them.
Little Baldy sat next to Taylor, took a sip of spinach and egg soup, and couldn’t hide his surprise. He then tried the dishes everyone passed to him. The smoked ham was so fragrant. The moo beast meat was so tender. The pickles went perfectly with the roasted sweet potatoes.
By then, he was completely won over by the food. But after the excitement faded, he felt a little sad. Once the trading gathering ended, he wouldn’t get to eat any of this anymore.
“Are you guys coming again next time?” Little Baldy asked.
Zachary smiled and asked, “Why?”
“This food is really good,” Little Baldy said. “If you come again, can I trade for some with you? What fruits and wild greens do you guys like? I’ll try to gather more. When I get older, my alpha will take me hunting, and I’ll bring a lot of meat then.”

Quincy curved his eyes and gently patted his smooth little head. “Even without the trading gathering, you can still have the adults bring you over to the Black Panther Tribe to trade.”
Taylor chimed in, “And we can still hang out together.”
Little Baldy lit up. “Yeah! Next time I’ll shift into beast form and fly you guys around.”
Taylor looked at him, who was even half a head shorter than himself, and couldn’t help asking, “Can you even carry me and Jaden?”
Little Baldy was full of confidence. “I’ll just eat more when I go back, and I’ll get stronger.”
Not long after they finished eating, therians from the Black Panther Tribe arrived, a dark mass visible in the distance.

“Quincy! Zachary!” Elias was sitting on Kyle’s back and waved excitedly at them.
“Ugh.” Kyle signaled for him not to move around and slowly lowered himself with careful, steady movements so his mate could climb down.

“Elias, what are you doing here?” Zachary walked over and asked, “Are you feeling better? Is your stomach still upset?”
Elias smiled a little awkwardly, then leaned in close and said something in his ear.
Zachary’s eyes widened suddenly, and his gaze dropped to him. “Really?”
Elias nodded, then glanced down at himself. “But honestly, it doesn’t really feel any different now.”
