Chapter 264 Handmade Jewelry
Other cubs gathered around and asked, “Faylor, is it good?”
“It’s good.” Taylor wasn’t stingy either. He poured a little into each of their leaf–folded spoons.
The cubs said, “Thank you. Taylor.”

After sharing it out. Taylor shook the bamboo tube, then squinted his left eye and peered inside. He sighed and quietly put it back into his bag.
Jaden took the bamboo tube from Taylor’s hand.
Taylor asked, “What is it?”
Jaden poured half of his own fruit tea into Taylor’s bamboo tube, sealed it back up, and said, “Here. I can’t finish it.”
Taylor lit up instantly. “Jaden, you’re the best.”

The soap they had made earlier was about ready to use, so Zachary packed some into a basket. He planned to take it to the market and see if there was any demand.
When he arrived, he handed everything over to Donald,
Bruce was there too. He picked up a bar curiously and examined it closely. “Zachary, what is this?”
“Soap.” Zachary briefly explained how to use it, then took two bamboo tubes out of the basket. “This is the fruit tea I made. Mr. Bruce, you and Donald should try it. Oh, and these are straws.”
The straws were made from hollow plant stems. They fit neatly into the small opening of the bamboo tubes and looked surprisingly well–made.
“Thank you.” Bruce tried the new fruit tea and was immediately in a very good mood. After a couple of sips, the corners of his mouth kept lifting, and he even started humming softly.
Zachary turned and went to find Matthew. He shook the bamboo tube in his hand and asked with a smile, “Thirsty?”
Matthew softened right away. He walked over quickly and took it from Zachary. “What brings you here?” “To deliver soap.” Zachary leaned in slightly and held Matthew’s hand, then said quietly, “And I wanted to see you.”
Matthew’s expression eased, a faint warmth slipping through. “Heading back now?”
Zachary said, “I’ll stay with you for a bit.”
Matthew found a shady, clean spot. “Sit here. I’ll be back after I finish moving things.”

Zachary said, “Mm–hmm.”
Hubert’s intense gaze landed on them. His joy was obvious in his expression.
Finished
Matthew seemed to sense it. He suddenly turned back on guard, only to see Zachary stand up and walk toward Hubert.
Matthew’s mood dropped instantly. He nearly crushed the pottery in his hand.
Not long after, Hubert walked away in a dazed, dejected state. Even his back looked lonely.
Matthew sat silently in the spot where Zachary had been, head lowered and completely still.
Zachary came back and sat beside him. “Bad mood?”
Matthew denied it flatly. “No.”
Zachary said, “I went to see that White Tiger therian named Hubert.”
Matthew said nothing. His fingers tightened.
Zachary leaned closer. “You want to know what I told him?”
Matthew paused, then admitted, “Yes.”
Zachary leaned in near his ear and said, “I told him I like Matthew. I love Matthew. And I will always only have Matthew as my mate.”
Matthew suddenly turned his head. His eyes lit up a little. In that moment, it felt like even the sunlight had gotten brighter.
“Mm?” Zachary asked, a smile in his eyes as he nudged him with his arm. “How are you feeling now?”
Matthew stared at him blankly for two seconds, then leaned in and kissed him.
Hubert had just been dumped and was sitting on the ground. It looked like a dark cloud was hanging over his head, like bad luck just kept following him around and raining on him nonstop.
Horace put on a sad expression, barely holding back the corners of his mouth as he walked over to comfort him. “It’s okay…”
But what he was really thinking was something else entirely.
He’s finally over Zachary!
Horace let out a long sigh of relief.
Lately, Matthew had been carrying around a bunch of shiny little stones. Whenever he had free time, he would sit cross–legged on the floor and use a pointed tool to drill holes through them.

Finished
Finally, one night right before bed, he handed the finished pieces to his mate.
Zachary had been sitting on the bed, taking off his clothes. He paused mid–motion when he saw the sparkling strands of jewelry, “What is this?”
Matthew placed them on the bed. “For you.”
Zachary picked up a bracelet and slipped it on. Ifit perfectly, and the colors were beautiful, turquoise with blue–green crystal tones in between. He lifted his wrist to look at it, and his eyes curved with a bright smile. “It looks great.”
Matthew curled his lips slightly. He took Zachary’s foot and slipped two anklets onto him. They sat right at his ankles. The pink pearls and orange gemstones made his skin look even fairer and more delicate.
Zachary rested his foot against Matthew’s chest and said honestly, “You have really good taste.”
Matthew tilted his head and kissed him without saying anything.
Zachary felt a little shy and picked up one of the necklaces instead. It was strung with gemstones of different sizes, arranged in two layers, all polished smooth. A row of round pink pearls hung from the bottom, delicate and beautiful.
He held it up against his neck. It looked stunning, just a little too big. If he wore it, the bottom would almost reach his chest.
Matthew’s throat moved. “No.”
Zachary looked up. “Huh?”
landed on Matthew leaned closer. His long fingers lifted the hem of Zachary’s shirt. His golden eyes Zachary’s soft, narrow waist. He pressed lightly against it and said in a low voice, “It goes here.”
“Where did you even learn that from?” Zachary asked, completely stunned, a faint red already spreading across his ears.
